As if to prove that looks can be deceptive, we were on the brink of making an offer to buy what looked like a nice clean and well cared for house, when sensibly we decided to get the property surveyed first - and thank goodness we did. Page after page of urgent repairs and recommended updates, and only one item that was given a green rating - the guttering and downpipes were fine! Need I say more? NancyRita saved us a small fortune.

I used the company for a homebuyer survey and a valuation. The property in question had been described as being very well maintained by the sellers. The survey suggested that some repair/remedial work was needed. This allowed me to begin negotiating for remedial work to be carried out or alternatively a reduction in price to allow for the completion of work. Negotiations are still ongoing.
