Only given 1 star as wasn't able to leave a review with 0. Keep well clear - dirty and some staff don't care. It's a shame really as there are some staff there who really care for the residents.

No communication never answer phones very little contact with my mum. 8 solid hours is how long I called today before I finally got to talk to my mum. Same yesterday actually most days cqc should be back in there

My dad was a resident from May until September this year. There were numerous problems from the start, constantly reporting same issues to management. Dad left in soiled clothes, untrained agency staff who did not know how to deal with dads needs. Dirty room and bedding. At one point he was left without any bedding. Items bought for private use went missing. The last straw was when he was admitted to hospital with sepsis. It took staff 5 days to act to seek medical help even though I’d already raised concerns about him being unwell. I feel sorry for the regular staff who are caring for the residents but they are overworked. They need to recruit more permanent staff rather than relying on agency staff . In my experience the home is badly managed.

Absolutely dreadful when my husband first came to this home I had no worries but now under new management this place is awful , been on a couple of occasions no hot water ,how are the staff supposed to keep incontinent residents clean ,also the food now is like slop on a plate and the portions are less than you would give a child also there are no longer any meetings called for family of loved ones and I feel so sorry for some of the staff who are amazing carera but how are residents supposed to get attached to anyone when every time you visit there are agency staff there gone from being a fairly decent place to a dump

Visited two people here in recent months. In one unit the smell of urine was was strong that it hit you as you entered the unit. The dining room carpet in made of Flotex do therefore essentially easy to clean and dry quickly. Unfortunately this was filthy, stained food, drink and urine. On attempting to seat a gentleman I lifted the cushion of an arm chair as it had slightly sank into the chair base. Image my horror to find diarrhoea! The chair was eventually clean with a spray and wipes whilst still situated in the lounge area. It needed deep cleaning and sanitising. The next visit wasn't quite as bad and though it was 2 months later there was still Chocalate on his bedroom curtains and the lounge still smelt foul and the carpet dirty. This was also the day after CQC had visited. On a different unit I visited the story was completely different. Staff were pleasant, no odours if any kind and the surrounding was much happier, this unit catered mainly for respite and ReHab. I personally wouldn't allow my own mother or father live there but unfortunately social workers have their hands tied and families are inhibited and do not want to complain in fear of their loved ones receiving poor treatment as a result of them doing so. If you're contemplating using this place visit all units and visit at different times including meal times. Ive worked in care for 30 years and it was an eye opener to me.

My grandma is a resident in Brindley Nursing. The regular care staff care for my Gran very well and I feel she is treated in a person centred way. My Gran tells me the food is great and is encouraged to eat being offered a very varied diet.I feel the new owners are trying to improve the decor of the building wich in areas are a little run down.Domestic staff are lovley and my gramas room Is always clean and smells fresh.
