Been a member of several different gyms over the years and the Evo set up is one of the best. I really like the classes and the team are really friendly and helpful

High-quality work out (mostly circuit, meaning all levels can train together) with a variety of drills, motivating environment, plus an easy platform to book sessions that best fit your schedule. I joined a month ago, and I was welcomed by friendly coaches and challenging exercises. Evo Didsbury is definitely a keeper!

I'm fairly new to Evo but loving it so far! The trainers are super knowledgable, helpful and really encouraging. The classes are a good balance of challenging and accessible - I've enjoyed both the Lift and Camp classes though I initially joined more for the strength training. It also seems like a really fun, friendly bunch of people. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a balance of personal training attention but with a nice social environment thrown in.

What can I say about Evo? Just join! I've been a member for over a year and totally love it! The coaches, the atmosphere, the other members, the socials - it's the whole package! Not only am I physically the strongest that I've ever been but my old aches are all gone and my posture has never been better. Can't thank the team enough, it's more like going to catch up with your mates than working out. 5 star all the way!

If you’re interested in lifting weights in a friendly group setting, Evo is the gym for you. Perfectly situated off Burton Road (best of luck avoiding that post-gym beer!), it’s a fab environment for both beginners, and more seasoned gym goers, to push themselves and get stronger. The coaches really make Evo, with their great knowledge, and (occasionally) great banter. Regular testing weeks ensure you stay top of your game strength-wise, and regular socials, well they’re just good for the soul! The manager really goes above and beyond, and genuinely cares about each and every member. Whether you’re new to the area, new to lifting weights, or could just do with a little guidance and extra motivation when it comes to weight training, I couldn’t recommend Evo enough.

I absolutely love this place. I joined Evo a couple of months ago because after growing bored of my regular gym classes (and admittedly falling off the wagon a little bit because of this!) I wanted a new challenge. The classes are absolutely amazing, they really push you and I cannot stress enough how incredible you feel when you walk out of there! Such a great serotonin booster! The camp sessions really test your endurance while the lift sessions allow you to build on your strength each week - I had zero upper body strength when I first started and I’m already seeing improvements in just a few weeks! The trainers are beyond brilliant, and for me, this is what makes this place stand head and shoulders above the rest. It’s obvious that they all care about every single member - they’re all very encouraging, supportive and celebrate your wins with you! I’ve had PTs in the past but none of them match these guys’ energy, motivational skills or top tier banter. The whole atmosphere at the club is just so warm and friendly and they do great socials too - I’ve already made some pals for life!Evo have completely changed my attitude towards fitness. Although I started to see physical improvements in just a matter of weeks, it’s not about the number on the scales for me anymore, it’s about getting healthier and stronger and each time I lift even just a little bit more - it’s the best feeling ever! I have way more energy, I’m sleeping much better and I’ve seen such an improvement in my overall mood and confidence - all my friends and family are constantly saying I’ve got my “happy glow” back!I cannot recommend this place enough. It has improved so many areas of my life and I wish I’d joined sooner!!

I joined Evo back in May 2015 as a way of getting myself back to the gym. I had always gone to the gym on and off for at least 10 years previously, having been a member at least 2 or 3 other gyms and done all sorts of classes from Spin to Body Pump, Body Combat, Personal Training to yoga. I’d never really found my thing though. That changed when I started doing PT with Jake in the field behind my apartment, come rain or shine. He introduced me to boot-camp type exercising on a one-to-one basis and then I started going to Evo Camp in the Hall on Palatine road, along with small group PT sessions that we had out of a shed in Josh’s back garden. It was so much fun! Absolutely knackering, but I quickly realized Evo was more than just a gym as we would go on socials doing everything from the pub quiz to Jump Nation to wine tasting to Total Ninja. January 2016 brought a new string to the Evo bow with the introduction of EVO lift. I was absolutely hooked. Throughout 2016 I probably averaged about 5-7 sessions a week of lift and camp and have never been so fit before – I even got member of the year at the Xmas Party (still got the trophy haha).Fast forward to September 2017 and I moved from Chorlton to Withington, carefully choosing where I bought my house to ensure I could still go to Evo. (Yes, Evo is THAT good!)Since then I have been on countless Evo socials, every single summer and Xmas party, done two Rough Runners (including one in the middle of Storm Brian), been kayaking, bowling, (lots of) drinking and generally had a ball. My entire way of viewing the gym and exercising had totally changed and I stopped looking at it as punishment and thought of it as something to genuinely look forward to. My focus was on the numbers I was lifting not the numbers on the scale or the tape measure. I naturally got slimmer and more toned when going regularly but that wasn’t the goal. My goals constantly changed as I got stronger and when I look back on my 50kg deadlift target, glad I started somewhere, but ending on a PB of 145kg for two reps. I have never felt so proud of or comfortable in my own skin as knowing what my body is capable of thanks to Evo.I have made so many friends there as well and I know many couples that have met there and there’s even been an Evo marriage. Not many gyms can say that!December 2022 was my last month with Evo and the end of an era as I have had to move to North Manchester, so it’s not feasible to commute back to Didsbury sadly (hurry up and open one is Whitefield / Prestwich Josh!!)I thought I’d end with a few numbers to sum up my time at Evo over the years:Socials: approximately 30Evo camps: around 520Evo lifts: around 1100Deadlift: 145kgBench: 70kgSquat: 120kgYears at Evo: 7.5Friends made: 90+Weight lost: don’t know, don’t care
