This review is left in response of Michelle Kulbicki,I am the owner of The House Of Beauty and I am very proud of what we have achieved here in the last 4 years. Our professionalism and customer service is second to none with fantastic reviews.You fail to mention in your review, that your mothers voucher was 6 months out of date, however, we tried to accommodate, offering several alternative dates and times throughout Jan / Feb only to be met with obstacles at every appointment. Your mother came into the salon causing a terrible scene which I've never had to deal with before, and yes, this caused me great distress which resulted in me having an awful panic attack. I sincerely hope that you never suffer with such in your lifetime as it it can be severely debilitating, but, I pride myself with the fact that I don't let it take over my life and can run a very successful business. I will not however, succumb to being bullied and threatened to damn my name" all over the internet as your mother put it."

Absolute heaven, luxury treatment from the moment you walk in. Best salon in the bay!

Just Fabulous from start to finish. We stayed at the Imperial Hotel but we had left it too late to book any spa treatments. So we found The House of Beauty. It was only a quick cab ride away which cost £5. When we walked in we were warmly greeted, they took our coats and then we had to fill in a quick form. Following that we were then moved to the waiting area which was just so tranquil and beautiful. We were given a long list of drinks to choose from (which were complimentary) ranging from a herbal tea to a gin & tonic. We opted for a glass of bubbly each, which was delicious. Then our beauty therapists came to greet us and they were both lovely. Our treatment was a hot stones massage which we would highly recommend. Worth every penny (£52 each for an hour). Whenever we are in Torquay again we will go back.

Owner is extremely rude and unaccomodating, and clearly doesn't handle stress well. For a small business they are surprisingly rude to their customers, and do little to make their customers happy. Sadly it's not isolated to me, as friends of mine have also had the same experience with being hung up on when trying to make a booking and also left in tears. If you appreciate good service and a relaxing, trusting experience at a salon I would avoid this place at all costs.

Lovely place, been getting my eyebrows done for a long time and I have such blonde hair I was really afraid they would go too dark. Thankfully they are always perfect and can't thank them enough! Would definitely recommend!

I have really enjoyed my treatments at The House of Beauty Wellswood. From the moment I stepped in the front door I was greeted warmly and was offered a drink whilst I waited. The staff were all very accommodating and I was really pleased with my manicure at the end of it. I always enjoy my treatments here, and would highly recommend this beauty salon to anyone who wants to be well looked after, and treated like a princess.

I've had many treatments at the House of Beauty and I've always been delighted with the service and the quality of the treatments.I've found the owner (Sarah) to be helpful, professional and very engaging. The facility is lovely, with a gorgeous atmosphere and beautiful treatment rooms. I've lived here in Torquay for over 15-years and tried other salons - this is easily the best available in the Torbay area.
