Recently bought a low mileage, very clean used car from Downsway. Iain could not have been more helpful, very knowledgeable about the car and its history and most of all I was made to feel welcome. Deal done, Ian went online and changed the V5 to my name and taxed the car on my behalf. Very impressed overall and would highly recommend Downsway Garage.

Great garage that I have used for past 10 years..Nothing too much trouble ..Have just exchanged my car,No pressure from Ian at all just nice old fashioned service,Delighted with my new purchase as I know I can call in anytime with any concerns.Ian completed the paperwork for me which was great. I purchased a low mileage vehicle from this garage 6 months ago for just over 8k. Since then my partner and I found out we are expecting, so were in need of a five door for ease with child. Rather than go through the mine field of trying to sell a car and then find a good one privately, I thought I would have a look and see what was available at this garage where I had purchased my current car.On the forecourt was a nice 5 door car which would have done fine for us, it had 58k miles which was double the mileage on our own car and was a year older. It is also worth mentioning that it was up for sale for £1400 less than what I paid for ours.So I phoned and spoke to John, who remembered selling me the car and explained our circumstances. At this point I proposed that a swap would be beneficial to both. As my car was newer and had a higher value and I just needed a 5 door.He said that sounded ok and would phone me back in the morning.When I spoke to him the next day he said that to be “honest” that the previous day a very good customer had expressed interest in the car, but that he would let me know by Monday if it was sold.So come Monday, sure enough he told me the car had been purchased. I did however say to him that he knew the criteria of what we needed, and that we would be willing to wait for him to find us something similar. To which he of course agreed he would do.A few days later however I noticed that the car was still up on his site. So signing into my eBay account I sent an annonymous msg enquiring as to if the car was sold.And low and behold I got a msg straight back explaining the car was still for sale.To summarise, “honest” John is no different from any other dodgy car salesman. He will greet you with a friendly face until he has that sale from you. And would then no doubt have left myself and my pregnant partner hanging there waiting till he found some dog of a motor to try and part exchange for our good one. Deceitful little man, avoid at all costs.

Bought our car from here last month and very pleased, service was first class and Ian done everything that was said would be done and very reasonable priced. Lovely warm welcome and will definitely be buying our next car from here again.
