National Tyres and Autocare - a Halfords company

First time visiting this garage.Booked online for two front tyres. Dropped my car off was told to expect to wait between 45mins-1hr. Walked into festival place as its only 5 mins away. Was there about 30 minutes and received a phone call telling me my car was ready.They done an excellent job and got a great deal online. Advised for two rear tyres but no immediate rush.Would happily go back and recommend them to anyone!

Was a great place until Halfords took over - booked online for a Ford S-Max to have wheel alignment - arrived and was told that only Ford agents can do wheel alignment. When I visited Ford afterwards they told me that was nonsense - thankfully my local branch of ATS was willing to help.A few weeks later and I had a puncture - popped in willing to wait as I hadn't made an appointment (not knowing I'd have a puncture that day) and was told to come back in a week or so as they are busy. To be fair the manager checked their diary and pointed out that they are extremely short staffed trying to run the place - Halfords, you are running a once great outlet into the ground if you are going to operate with limited resource on the ground.

The people were nice but they may be busy. I didn’t had the best communication and waited for an hour on the phone. I failed the MOT for multiple reasons. One of them was the brake light. I changed the brake light for reMOT. Then, they discovered that it was the rear cluster which was expensive. I wish they had checked properly during MOT so i had time to look for options. The reMOT was done on Thursday and they completely it on Monday.

very disappointing and ridicules customer service since halford take the business.Had an appointment todays waiting time for an hour and after that i have been informed that alignment machine having battery charging system issue and i need to rebook the appointment, I came back in the garage later and after an hour they informed me again sorry the system is not getting my car model which is software bug and they have been facing almost every week which is a ridicules response and time wasting experience and not helpful staff.

Terrible customer service. Booked for interim service through Halfords 2 days ago. They call me the day before the scheduled service and says there was a system error and my booking is cancelled. No email, no text. Says they can't do such things. I asked for complaints procedure, and the gentleman says he does not know. Then later explains there is no technician at the garage on the said date. Keeps changing reasons.When I said I want to make it clear that the cancellation/refund request was not on my behest, he said that I made the request from my side and not otherwise.Terrible service.Would never recommend to anyone.

Discovering a slow puncture on Tuesday morning and requiring my car for an important hospital appointment on Wednesday in Southampton, I went in search of a garage.The staff were friendly and accommodating.A large screw was discovered in the middle of the tyre and it was repaired immediately.I waited in the comfortable, clean waiting area.Thankyou for time. It was really appreciated.

Sorted my tyres out ASAP, and were really friendly. Prices were fab too

Shoddy work done on MOT+Full Car service bought from Halford.The engine light turned on the next day of servicing, and the problem was not identified even after my 4 visits despite leaving the car overnight once. Apparently, the air filter was not installed properly on the day of servicing. The car engine suffered, pickup power lost along with mileage all this time.Soon after the air filter was adjusted, the engine came to life.I am very disappointed by the service standards.

Shockingly bad experience there today. Arrived for MOT appointment, and there was noone at reception. Waited patiently for someone to come. Eventually they arrived, and dealt with another customer. By the time they spoke to me, it was 7 mins after the appointment drop-off time, and he said I'd missed the appointment. I assumed he was joking. But no. He was deadly serious. He followed with the worst customer service imaginable. Rude and unhelpful. He did eventually agree to refund the MOT, but refused to provide a receipt. He refused to let me speak to a manager. He refused to give his name, until eventually he said he was Tom (who knows if that's his real name, another customer said they thought it was not). This whole incident was in front of other customers who could not believe what they were seeing and hearing. At least two are withdrawing their custom, one for a company account with multiple vehicles. Avoid this place at all costs. I have never seen anything so bad! Halfords have bought National, and their reputation will be trashed in no time if they don't get a grip fast on this rogue outfit.
