Really a place for family outing: lawn tennis, skating, fishing, etc.

Nice big park. Good size play area for the kids. Walking tracks, cycle tracks. Did not get to explore the whole park yet. I have seen a basket ball court and a tennise court too in the park. Sure there is much more.

Shoeburyness Park
Great play park, tennis courts, large field, cricket pitch, fishing lake with ducks and geese, skate park and a simple maze. Bowling green (club) A well maintained and popular park. No cafe. Toilets but currently locked every night at 3:30pm!

It's a great place for children and adults of any age. The playground area has a good range of park furniture" and it's all fenced and gated so you feel safe to let the children run around. I know my grandchildren (3 & 7) loved the zipwire most of all. As well as the playground there's a beautiful lake and meadow area...caution is needed here because there isn't any way of stopping the little ones getting into the pond apart from your vigilance. There's basketball and tennis courts. A small maze and large open field where football and cricket take place. There's a skate park with small ramps to enable the little ones to hone there skills. There's even exercise machines. Lots of great dog walking areas and paths and you've got the "meadowlark" pub/restaurant just adjacent to the park - a nice way to end a full day at the park. It really is worth taking a picnic and plenty of juice/water and just enjoying this hot weather in a relatively quiet place

Shoeburyness Park
Excellent playground under the trees. The main park area isn't huge but is well maintained and has a pond/lake with a pleasant shady path around it. There's a bowels club, skate park and large field to one side. Around the lake there are often fishermen being you know, fishermen. Unfortunately there is a bit of litter as everywhere these days, people are just happy to drop it but if you live nearby then this is a nice place to walk to and around. Keep your eye out for rats under the decking :)

5***** initial reviewGreat park overall ,especially the nature reservations and fishing pond. The residing chinese geese are stunning as are the other wildlife, particularly in summer.Play area, skate park and outdoor gym equipment also featured. Skatepark is rundown but good for kids to play on.3***The upkeep quality has gone down, flowerbeds are neglected and other previously rich areas overrun by weeds.Insect species decline, perhaps to poor maintenance techniques. Particularly dragonfly populations maybe due to constant works in the pond damaging ecosystem.

Nice Park with a pond, children's playground, tennis courts and a skate ramp with exercise machines. There is maze at the car park entrance, all in all a nice park in general for everyone.
