Loved our experience watching Joe McEldery. The theatre was good size, comfortable seating and easy access. Had a drink- reasonable price. Need to get there early if you want to use parking next to it.

Sound can be an issue. I think the speakers could be spread more evenly throughout the theatre. As it looked like the speakers were just by the stage and no where else. This makes it difficult for people near the front who get deafened at times when the cast sings or there is a really dramatic scene. At least this was my experience watching the Addams Family at the weekend.

We visited the theatre for the Easter panto - which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I was surprised of the lack of advertisement of it being on... we had walked past the theatre 3 or 4 times and had not seen it advertised and we just happened to notice it on the Internet when looking for things on in the area.The theatre itself was clean and most impressive was the seating which felt much more roomy than some other theatres I have been in. As expected, it had toilets, refreshments, and most importantly, ice cream at the intermission! There were plenty of staff around to help if you had a query etc.

Fantastic night from start to finish. Was made to feel welcomed from start of the night till the end, the show was really great. VIP room was nice, and view to stage was brilliant.Our party of 5 had a great night, thank you to both the Playhouse staff and the staff of the show. Will be returning for sure.

A comfortable auditorium and easily accessible. Friendly front of house staff, bar however rather limited to “industrial” beverages. I can think of many local tea, coffee and beer producers that would benefit from being showcased at this venue.

Went to see NAVI at the PLAYHOUSE. Met Jennifer Batten and NAVI. Was a very cool day indeed. 10/10Drinks were great also but there was a few sound issues. Other than that.. PERFECT!

Great gig. Sound was quiet, but clear would have preferred a little more volume but quieter might suit some people. Selection of drinks is poor and expensive though. No craft. It's perhaps a case of needs must in terms of price and choice. Carnage getting out at the end. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The venue is clean and has maintained most of its charm in the theatre.
