Shameful and disgraceful.We made arrangements at the shop for someone to come and measure up for a new hallway/stairs carpet. The day there were supposed to come, they phoned at 1.45 to say that couldn't make it. We rearrange for another day. They turn up measure and told us someone would be in touch the next day with the quote for a carpet, that was 2 weeks ago and still waiting. Phoned a few times to be told someone would phone us straight back with the quote, and no one has. So that us definitely a sale lost.

Not great in store service initially but given benefit of the doubt as it was a Sunday and they only had a trainee plus another guy in.Lots of excess carpet, makes you wonder about the measuring and how much extra your paying for.Carpets fitted without 5 threshold strips we paid for. Had to get them back out for only 4 to be done.Been promised on 2 occasions for the final threshold strip to be replaced but no one turned up and no one has contacted us.

Absolutely abysmal experience with this shop.I’ve used Franks many times in Coxhoe and had always had good service and good quality carpets with good carpet fitters leaving me very happy.However I placed an order with the Branch in Spennymoor, as I’d been shopping in Aldi, for vinyl to be laid in my bathroom and en-suite with a lovely young Guy called Connor who shone throughout this transaction and shoulders no blame at all.The vinyl was ordered and 2 weeks later they rang to arrange a fitting date but sent me 2 Monkeys from Redcar who laid the vinyl totally wrong with the pattern of boards leaning off to the left instead of running square.Also the door plate had been fitted to the floor using 3 different types of fastening. One was a copper nail, one was a silver nail and the other a silver screw.Obviously I rang the store and spoke to a guy called Richard who throughout our conversation never one apologised and said I’d have to wait 7-10 days for an inspector to visit.I didn’t accept this and so asked to speak to Connor who rang me back very quickly, immediately apologised and asked me to forward him some photos of the poor fitting.I did this and very quickly he rang me to again apologise and inform me that the vynil was to be replaced.So a different team of fitters came but as they weren’t getting paid for this refit they weren’t very happy however they did fit the vynil quite well. Unfortunately they weren’t very good at using sealant and couldn’t do this for me which was poor as I’d paid extra to have it done.So I’m now an ex Franks customer!!

Nice and polite to your face but tell you complete rubbish and lies.. ie make appointments but don't turn up, then say it was made for another day, when clearly it wasn't then say they have been to your house but no one was in how ever they are suppose to ring you before they come out then the carpet fitter is a no show, ring up after waiting all day and then send some one from another store to deal with the situation.. Then only to tell him the wrong place for where the carpet was going the stairs is a big difference from a room so had to wait yet again for a slot to be available Complete idiots. Will never go back again to this store, only good thing about it was the carpet fitter made an excellent job putting the carpet down (Eventually) unsure of his name. They have done exactly the same to a relative recently, not turning up then saying the appointment was made for the next day then saying they had been to the house but no one was in how ever yet they were suppose to ring before they came out.. No phone call.. Spenny store Should be renamed 'do not come here for a carpet'

Amazingly friendly place. Stopped in and got samples and I got to take them home. Came back same day and ordered carpet and is installed with only a week to wait. Good prices and great service

Just got a roll end of carpet for a good price, they even nocked a few pounds extra off spot on

Ordered a mattress from Frank's before Christmas. It arrived in their store on 23rd December 22. Even though they are open they cannot deliver to my address until 6th January 23. So it's basically sitting in their store for two weeks. I am desperate for this mattress. Very disappointing service.

Had a laminate floor fitted yesterday all marked refused to do anything . Fuming have lodged a complaint at head office .

Served by a lovely young man, no pressure sales, manager gave us a good deal on carpet and underlay. Definatly reccomend.

Terrible service , ordered twice off these clowns and both times made a complete mess of the job after being chased to turn up. 1 st time they ruined the floor and then tried to same the measurement was wrong , fortunately the we kept the quote that showed the correct measure. Second time promised to be better and they did not show up on the day with loads of excuses as to why , one person saying one and another a different story . Never again a joke of a shop
