This is the second time I've hired a road bike from this store and both experiences have been very positive. The bikes are great and Dave provided all the accessories I needed - helmet and toolkit/puncture. I came back after one ride and Dave swapped the pedals for me while I waited and is extremely knowledgeable about bikes and is a keen cyclist so knows the area too.The only drawback is the opening hours are a bit inconvenient. So check the times!Thanks for the service, Dave!

I've been to Dave Ferguson cycles many times and always had good informative help, I've always found him to be helpful and polite, he has a good knowledge of the items he sells he also carries a good stock of various parts.I also understand that he hires bikes out at reasonable prices, all in all a good local shop

Was cycling along the B6254 this afternoon (12/09/23) at approx 2pm,and your van gave me a very close pass. Would think somebody driving a bike shop business van would be more vigilante and drive with a bit more consideration cyclists.

Took my granddaughters bike in this morning with a brake problem. Picked it up at 4pm all done and ready to ride. Excellent service and value for money. Highly recommend.

Top notch cycle hire. Couldn't have been more helpful, bike was fully equipped and came supplied with helmet. Had a fantastic ride from Skipton along the Leeds and Liverpool canal and then up to Malham Cove. Would thoroughly recommend!

Had used this shop several times over the years and found the customer service to be great, but had obviously never met the owner before. When I took my five year old in a few years back to size him up for a new bike the owner was incredibly rude, so much so that in the end we walked out (and went to Chevin). My now 8 year old still talks about it now. We will never shop there again, despite the fact that I would like to support a local business. He held a bike out against my son and my son tried to get on but he said very abruptly Did I tell you to get on?”. We then continued and looked at another bike. My son

Been a long standing customer and always receive fantastic service, what Dave doesn't know about bikes isn't worth knowing. I've brought my bike to him in some horrific states having commuted in all conditions and when I get the bike back it is like riding it fresh from the factory. Got new bikes and get my parts and odds and ends. Always very happy. Great little shop.

I never normally leave reviews, especially bad ones for local businesses who need all the help they can get right now, but feel like warning people away from here. If you’re a bike geek and know what you’re talking about, it’s probably fine, but for the uneducated amongst us go to Chevin Cycles instead. I only popped in for a new adapter (or “hose” as I was corrected by our surly friend) for my kid’s bike pump, and can’t remember a time where I’ve been spoken to so rudely by someone who should be doing everything they can to retain business. I know times are tough, but you can’t talk to people like that and expect them to return.
