I recently moved to Downham Market so this was the first time I had used this shop. I wanted plywood and pse timber for a model railway layout base, and thought I would try the local shop. I am really pleased I did because the owner cut all my plywood pieces and pse perfectly to size, and also delivered it to my home as it was too large to fit into my car. Both the timber and ply are of excellent quality, and the price was much lower than I had expected. They also sell many DIY items, and you can buy items like nails etc unpacked so you can buy the quantity you need. The owner is also a very helpful and pleasant guy. I didn’t think shops like this existed anymore. First class.

Brought some wood 2 days ago and the staff was so lovely they cut it to size for me and delivered it. Quality was perfect. Bonus they only charged be less that £25 in which if I had brought this online I would have spent just over £80 saving me about £55.Highly recommended very friendly.

First class service. I ordered cladding for my summer house to be cut to size. The cutting was spot on and saved me a lot of time on my chop saw. The cladding was delivered neatly bundled wrapped and labelled for size and amount.I have always found the service knowledge and advice available from the lady and gentleman very good. This is a great local business

Fantastic little store that we found by chance! We were looking for small knick knacks like nails but also found a metal engineering ruler (which couldn't find for ages). They also seem to have a good supply of wood and other things))

Outstanding local supplier. I've been buying timber and other bits here for at least the last seven years and am more than happy to recommend Knots. I've just bought a load of timber to do a shed repair, not only did they have exactly what I needed but it was cut to length for me and worked out a lot cheaper than I'd expected. Think of this as a one-stop shop for all your timber and household hardware needs.
