Asked for directions to get to a City Sightseeing stop from a representative near London St. Pancras train terminal and was told the wrong directions. Had to call customer service to get the correct bus stop. Waited more than 45 minutes for a bus to arrive and bus driver gave an excuse. Had tickets for Madame Toussands and specifically told drivers and workers we needed to be there by 1:30. With aggravation in their voices, they told us the bus would stop at the museum and they closed at 5pm. In other words, we were told that not only we would make it to Madame Toussands, but would also be dropped off there, so just get on the bus and do the tour. The tour itself was unbearably cold and there's absolutely no heat on the bus. If you need to use the restroom, you have to get off at a stop and then wait a very long time for another bus to arrive, which happened to us. Once back on the bus, we asked the new driver which stop is for Madame Toussands and they told us we would have to get off at stop number 17 and find our own way to the museum. We couldn't get an uber so we had to take a taxi to the museum since it's a 30 minute walk from the City Tour bus stop. Got out of the taxi at 3:45pm only to find out that Madame Toussands was CLOSED. So we had to walk 30 minutes back to the exact spot we caught a taxi. A river cruise was also included in our tickets. New driver rudely said we were not going to make the cruise because of traffic (the cruise stops at 6pm). This was our first time in London and it has been one of the WORST experiences of my life. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I chose this company because unlike some of the other ones, it has at least 12 covered seats on the top level of the bus, to keep one out of the elements. I bought my tickets online but you can also buy them from agents at the stops. Agent Ronnie at the Tower Bridge stop was helpful and driver Abdi was very friendly too.I thought the audio commentary would be on the entire time but often it is silent or poorly chosen music. I would prefer more facts and stories. There are no toilets abroad. If you lose your paper ticket they will not print you a new one even if you have the QR code email.

This was a learning experience! It started out a little rough and ended up being pretty great. I bought a 24 hour ticket on a Saturday after noon and made two mistakes 1) I didn’t use the headset/narration and 2) I didn’t download the app. It was soooo much more enjoyable with the narration and the app is one million times better than trying to use the paper map. I wish I would have figured that out sooner. It wasn’t until the 2nd day. Had I not used both those features I would have rated it 2 stars and said I’d never do a hop on hop off again, but now I’d say it’s close to a five star rating and I would definitely do it again.

I bought the 24-hours ticket for the bus , included the river cruise. The bus was nearly all the time full but I could expect it in such a busy city as London.I spent nearly 2 hours on the top of the bus.The stops included Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Big Ben, Oxford Street and few more interesting/important points in the capital of Great Britain.I used the ticket also for the boat which took me from Big Ben to Tower Bridge. Also the boat was completely full of people.I really enjoyed the trip.I could see bigger part of city centre and some areas which I didn't see before. From the boat I could do great photos of the panorama of London. The guide on boat was very funny and he told a lot interesting things about this city during the cruise.I can recommend this option for the people who would like to see a lot in London but they have limited time.

I was down in London for a friends birthday travelling down from Scotland - on our last day (which was yesterday) we approached a representative at tower bridge, quoted us £37pp and we were like absolutely not, we began to walk away and he said “I’ll do it for £29.” we were like, “right okay, not bad for London” but I actually paid £59.20?This tour was absolutely atrocious, rude bus driver, no working commentary on the bus, driving past every single monument at speed as if they were desperate to get home - we were on a bus tour in Dublin in October which was so much better and actually £26pp.If you’re visiting London anytime soon, go and see the monuments yourself, you will save so much money, time and effort. Absolutely AVOID!

Least frequent of all the tour buses. We often waited while 2-3 (each) of the other Hop On Hop Offs drove past before ours came. Would recommend going with one of the competitors, I would. Also took 90 minutes to get from Trafalgar Square to Tower of London while they sold tickets and held the bus back. Really poor experience overall

Terrible experience, do not book. The busses were overcrowded so there was no space to sit. Many of the audio ports did not work so for most of the time I had no seat, no view and no audio guide. The busses of the smaller operators looked much better.

We purchased a one day family ticket using a voucher from a previous CSS tour in another city to get a discount, very useful to know! Busses were clean and lots available some were pretty full but it was a busy time. Would have been nice to have a kids commentary like in some other countries/cities. Roadworks meant there were a couple of detours but that’s to be expected occasionally in a big city.
