Dervaig Standing stones

Het is niet makkelijk ze te vinden. De laatste 5-10 minuten loop je door een redelijk open bos en daarna daarna door een stuk bos waarin je over en onder boomstammen moet kruipen. En dan ineens, een open stukje in het bos.

A single prehistoric stone row measuring 10.4m long, including three large upright orthostats and one recumbent slab situated on a saddle on a ridge. The stones stand up to between 2.05m and 1.92m high and the northern stone which is recumbent probably fell eastward. The row is orientated NNW to SSE and forms part of a cluster of three rows which all share the same orientation. The row is currently within a forestry clearing and views which would otherwise be extensive are very restricted. This row is usually known as Maol Mor and it is situated a short distance west of the marker shown on Google Maps. I have tried to suggest these edits but unfortunately they could not be verified.

We hadden een mooie wandeling en het zat op de weg, het is zeker niet groot maar zeker wel mooi en zeker de moeite waard om een beetje van je route af te gaan. Zeker een aanrader!
