Lovely museum run by friendly, enthusiastic volunteers. Check opening times before you go and look out for the (rather small!) signs near the entrance as it's easily missed!

First class museum, dedicated to the airfields in the New Forest, the men and women who lived, worked and flew from these bases is well documented. Touch screen displays bringing the subjects to life. Helpful, friendly volunteer staff on hand to inform the visitor with enthusiasm and sharing their accrued knowledge. Well worth the visit, small entrance charge, cash or card, small café and carpark. A must do, check their website for their limited dates and opening times.

Visited today for the first time and it was worth every penny. In fact I've paid the extra £4 to have a yearly membership as you could easily spend a couple of days absorbing and enjoying all the information available. It's a fabulous record of what occurred in the New Forest during the war and the part the area played in our victory. Videos, photos, models to enjoy too. The volunteer staff are hugely welcoming and very knowledgeable. Add to that the facility for a tea and cake. Highly recommended.

Great record of the New Forest's role in WW1 and WW2s air campaigns. After visiting, why not go to the airfields - Holmsley and the memorial are only a few miles away.

Delightful niche museum, full of a small select band of enthusiastic volunteers. Even though the visit was really for my other half, I was enthralled with the history and the amount of detail that this small building holds. Well worth a visit if you have an interest in military history and want to talk to people who really know what they are talking about.

Really interesting place to visit. Wonderful models of aircraft and huge amounts of information on the airfields, people and aircraft . Fascinating! Knowledgeable people in attendance and a lovely cup of tea and a toasted teacake! What's not to like..

You can easily spend a couple of hours here despite its relatively small size. The volunteers have a wealth of knowledge of military aviation as well as of the New Forest WWII airfields. The commitment and dedication of the members in preparing the various displays and getting every detail correct was a credit to them.

Little gem this place. Super friendly staff, very informative, and into the history of the place. If you are a big fan of British war history, and in the area, great stop to support, and lovely cup of tea too.
