I wasn't sure if Richard would be able to treat my sciatica, it was literally so painful everyday. I had been to a couple physiotherapy sessions and they didn't think they could help me. After one session with Bournemouth Acupuncture I began to feel less pain already, it took 3 sessions altogether and it really worked, I am so amazed that the pain has gone, I now recommend Richard and acupuncture to all my friends and family. I am competing in boxing and recently damaged my back in training it has been a nightmare as moving left to right has been really painful. Having used Bournemouth acupuncture before for a previous injury I decided to go back and within a couple of treatments my back is already feeling looser and better enabling me to function and able to get back to some light training. He really knows what hes doing and managed to find a knot which was hard to get too and had been giving me alot of problems. Didnt feel rushed atall and deffinately got my moneys worth. I've been suffering from IC for 17 years (I'm 22). I've had numerous hospital appointments and medications that don't work/bring any relief. I recently read in an article that acupuncture could help relieve IC symptoms, so searched the web and stumbled across Richard. I can honestly say I am feeling a difference in the levels of pain already (nowhere near as bad as it has been) and it's only my fourth appointment! Also, he is the kindest and most caring person that is keen to tackle pain from all angles. Definitely recommend.

My one session has been nothing short of a miracle really. My reasons for first-time acupuncture this month were debilitating/severe fatigue (I'm only 26) which was leading to foggy thought processing, as well as pretty severe referred knee pain from a broken ankle in 2015; all adding to total despair and lowness. I chose Richard through internet research, and I'm SO glad I did. He listened (very) in depth, asked me many relevant questions about my lifestyle, diet and helped underpin what was bothering me the most, as well as asking what I was mostly hoping for at the end. We established the ongoing fatigue/foggy thought processing was upsetting me the most, as well as knocking my confidence in all aspects. I had my acupuncture in the morning, slept for the rest of that day, and felt major improvements already the following morning. I described it to my friends like 'waking from a life slumber'... thoughts are still clearing a bit more each day, my knee pain hugely reduced within 48 hours -borderline unnoticeable - and the nasty fatigue is HUGELY improved (I had explained to Richard I 'missed my former self'). I couldn't be more grateful for his work, excellent and informative dietary advice (already feeling a huge difference here too) and his gentle demeanour throughout including a follow up email so I could remember his advice. I can't wait to book more sessions in with Richard soon, and just HAD to write this review - he deserves the advocacy. Richard has helped me throughout the years with lower back pain and sciatica. I always forget how amazing I feel afterwards, it is so effective for pain relief. Richard creates a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I met Richard a few years ago while he was working on a cruise ship.
