Staff doing there best but the changes to NatWest are a disaster. There is no serviced till here which is unbelievable. People come here for a personal touch and help. Especially the older customers aren’t so used to using the machines for all there banking needs. At one point everyone in the queue was stood laughing as the machines weren’t working for any of us. They have closed my local branch too. It would seem NatWest is in decline. There were two staff on shop floor doing there best but it would be better to have them at a counter helping people than just directing them to the machines.

I only wanted to pay a bill in cash but there weren't any counters with people. Had to ask staff who were standing with a clipboard and he said I had to do it myself with machine. Then he said machine wasn't reading the bill, and I had to go upstairs to the business part to give to a person in the end anyway. There was one person behind a counter up there. Thinking of changing bank as I don't like going in there since has changed

This bank was brilliant and super helpful. Had to visit as was away from home and was unable to get my request sorted online. The team were able to assist me quickly, helpfully and went the extra mile to sort out my miniature crisis quickly for me so my mortgage payment went through. Thanks to Roberta who was excellent.

They closed down small helpful local branches. I had a text message at 10:30am to say my account was overdrawn by less than a Pound and I would have to pay the money in by 2. I only saw the message while I was having lunch at 1, and it took 1/2 hour to drive to Swindon to deposit the money.I was expecting the only branch open for miles to be wonderful, with all the helpful staff from closed branches. Instead, I walked in and saw a bank with no counter. Just a couple of girls who looked like school leavers standing around with clip boards.I asked one of them how I was supposed to put money in without a counter, and she started talking to me sarcastically telling me to do it myself with the machine, as if she was getting off on trying to make me look stupid. Then when she put money in machine, it took the money and broke down, so I had to wait for that to be fixed until my money went in.Then I said that as it took me 1/2 hour to get there because of the local branches being closed and with the machine breaking, what will happen about me being less than a Pound overdrawn after 2?She didn't know anything and was still speaking to me sarcastically, saying I will have to look online tomorrow. I asked if I could speak to another person who knows what they're doing, and eventually found another person who told me I wouldn't get charged for under £10 even though I was only overdrawn for 1/2 a day. So I said if the first one could have told me that basic information, I wouldn't have been stressed, and first one was still sarcastic, saying I was stressed anyway, when I wasn't because I went in expecting a bank to have useful people who know basic information. I don't know why they're pretending to be a High Street bank, when they seem to employ the cheapest people they can find without proper training who can't do anything

I received a call today from Jane Stanley who works at this Branch. This call was a follow up to some information I had requested online. I just wanted to highlight how helpful she was. Absolutely excellent customer service, a knowledgeable and professional employee. Its great to see a big bank bank maintaining a local professional interface for its customers.

I have just wasted 40 minutes of my life in this dreariest of banks, dark gloomy interior, poor musac, one NWB person dealing with all customers, other staff working behind wall at back of bank refused to assist. I went in feeling the joys of summer, came out manic depressive, whoever designed the interior did a first class job-aim to force people away from NWB. Time to change banks.
