Lovely food, great staff. Went there for Easter Sunday roast. Definitely book in advance, they're popular. Be we were very lucky to get a table on the day. Good veggie options. I had the vegan fig and nut roast.£20-£30 per person.

Visited on a Sunday evening. It was very quiet, but that was great for us as it meant Roast Dinner was still available.Good food and good portion sizes.

Delicious food! Main course was slightly delayed in arriving but was worth the wait- both for quality and quantity. The staff were pleasant (Ryan, Jess, Molly, Brandon, Carole).

Great family meal at the Wicked Lady. We wanted somewhere local to Nomansland Common as we were doing part of our Walk 245: Nomansland South Loop which starts and finishes close to the pub/restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, we had a lovely table in a quiet spot behind a fireplace - which was great except that we were a bit out of sight and had to keep checking that the staff had remembered we were there. But it wasn't a problem and they were lovely about it. :-). The food was fab, we shared a selection of starters including prawns and calamari and had the delicious sea bass, seafood linguini, and fish and chips. Everyone left clean plates. The food is fresh, tasty, and comes in good portions - ideal for people out for a walk in the Hertfordshire countryside. Recommended. The only suggestion I would have for the management at the Wicked Lady is to have more real ale choice. When we visited the only hand-pump on show was the ubiquitous Doom Bar, which is a pity because there are so many great Hertfordshire breweries nearby and it would have been nice to have a pint of local real ale.

Had a great dinner for 2 last night. Perfect venue for a hot summer night when they can open the doors and space people out around the grounds and in the conservatory. Good selection of meals and deserts. Not for everyone, but we walked there from Marshallswick, as there are paths over Jersey Farm Hill and along past Heartswood forest.

An excellent family lunch at The Wicked Lady. The food and service was excellent and the pub was extremely busy. Great portion sizes too! We were really well looked after. A special mention is deserved for our waitress Ella, who was so friendly and helpful, making sure we had an enjoyable time. We will definitely return again.

Having met family today from Spain we were looking forward to the Festive Menu.We were very disappointed the service was slow, the vegetables & potatoes were in edible all hard & not cooked. All had to be sent back & we had to wait for new to be cooked.Surely this is a basic cooking skill & should be checked before serving! We asked for water three times before it arrived after our coffee. Also at the end of the meal we were told we had 15 mins left as they needed the table although we had been the ones waiting. There was no one waiting for our table at 4pm.Poor Management. We spent over £225 for 5 people. We would not recommend very disappointed.

Amazing Sunday lunch not a 5 star due to service but that was not a huge issue.I had a roast trio with all the trimmings which was amazing. My wife had pork belly and she was very very happy. The final photo is cheese cake (mini) my wife had for dessert.Note on the service: it was a young lad who was serving, clearly learning his trade but he got a bit overwhelmed but again not complaining just slightly affected the meal as we had to ask for tap water, extra gravy and the bill a few times before they turned up.We will definitely be back!!

Food was great overall. Starter of Padron peppers wasn’t quite what I was expecting but pretty tasty nonetheless. I prefer keeping them simple with rock salt over the sweet sauce that these were smothered in. Burger looked a little dry when it came out yet was surprisingly moist and tasted on point. The Lotus Biscoff choc bomb was undoubtedly the star of the show. Absolutely incredible, one of the best desserts I’ve eaten out recently. Service however was really poor. Those who waited on our table put the effort in but food, drinks and even the bill all took a while to arrive. Place had a nice ambience and despite the negatives would definitely return.

Very welcoming staff on the day for our party of 28 having a Xmas meal together. Food was good and only one dish served a little out of sequence. Attendees I have spoken to have all said they enjoyed the meal. One person asked for Dairy and Gluten free and was very happy with her meal
