I was here as a pitstop back to London and I was desperate for a snack. First of all, you have to pay for parking, it's like £1/hour and then when I ordered I was told it was cash only rather than in advance - unfortunately by coincidence, it's not all the time apparently. So it was a bit of an inconvenience. I didn't really find the staff attentive here and not paying much attention to service. They can do better.

I ordered a masala dosa and it came burnt, which changed the taste of the potato mixture. The whole taste of the dosa was very tasteless as the dal and chutney was watery. Very poor quality and low standard food.

Went in having booked a table, but it wasn't ready, no matter our party separated and we made do.Initially, he asked us for drinks very quickly, but the service was extremely slow.Noted an unpleasant stickiness to our table and the floor, just felt that maybe it had had a quick wipe over but not a proper clean.We had a few different dishes, and to be honest, none of them tasted that great. Kids were mostly happy the daal was very good apparently, wife thought food was awful, I enjoyed a small slice of the pizza and the tea was fabulous. Apparently the enchiladas were also good.The rest of it was pretty devoid of the textures or flavours one would expect. For example, the chilli paneer was not a patch on what another restaurant up the road might serve. The paneer did not have any real texture to it, and I thought initially it was soy protein but on cutting one in half decided it was definitely paneer.So if you are coming for a pizza or daal and Indian tea you will be very happy, the rest of it perhaps not.They're busy and short staffed like everyone so have to be fair.

Ordered the paneer tikka burger. The middle of the patty was cold but the staff gave us a new one of the house. Great service and good tasting food.

Ordered via Ubereats, pizza and noodles arrived so cold that it had to be reheated. The vegetable hakka noodles arrived dry and overcooked and not good tasting.

Visited just for desserts. Thought that the gulab Jamun sundae sounded good but what I didn't want was just a standard sundae with a gulab Jamun stuck on the top. I asked, and was told that there is a layer of chopped up Jamun in the ice cream. Menu also stated whipped cream. Really disappointed to report that there was no chopped up Jamun, just as I thought, the lazy option was taken and all I got was ice cream in a sundae glass with a Jamun on top, sauce and chopped pistachio as per menu, no cream. Didn't make a fuss as I was with friends but yeah, definitely lazy.

The service was very very poor, food came out 50minutes later and the restaurant was empty. We had to speak to the waiters 3 times and the food was cold and tasteless. We bought in cake for my dad’s birthday and after 20 minutes the cake still didn’t arrive at the table. There was one waiter started shouting to say you have to wait. It was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant and we had to leave without celebrating my dad’s birthday.

I went on Diwali at Mirch Masala and I ordered Bhala chaat and Macaroni and cheese. Both were really delicious. I will give 4.7 because we have to wait long to get our food. The atmosphere was really good as there was live music outside and if u want the enjoy street food they have stalls outside. The girl who was handing sitting arrangements was really nice and helpful. She offered us chair while we were waiting.

I came from Derby to celebrate my wedding anniversary. In the end, we were searching for a good Asian restaurant and we chose Mirch Masala. We were starving but the food spoiled our special day as well as our mood. We will never recommend this place. We ordered 4-5 items but everything was just a waste of money. Nothing was fresh.

Mirch Masala.I have tried this place in the past at many occasions. Their food is not proper Indian Desi Style but it’s somewhere closer.I don’t like their Masala chips. It’s fried and soaked in tomatoes ketchup with coriander herb on top with few chunk small tomatoes.I liked their Paneer Masal Dosa. It wasn’t bad. They have always been overpriced for their menu item.The good part is you always find most of the items at place. Good isn’t too bad. Open till late depending on days. They also do Pizzas (Asian style and ingredients)Hand wash area is available (I think is also attached to that)Car parking is available- not free.Street parking is free if you find a space.I will probably try their Chilli Tofu one day.
