Stopped off for a quick bite to eat on our way to the airport. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. The food was very tasty and we were all pleasantly surprised with the quality. Gluten free options on the burgers which is a plus!

Burger was quite dry and the fries with garlic and onion seasoning was extremely salty.Finished food, waiter didn't come over for 20 to 30 mins, took plate away but didn't ask if I wanted another drink or a dessert. The only positive was the old fashioned was nice.

First the good. The staff are exceptionally friendly and very attentive and efficient at their job. The service from start to finish couldn't really have been any better. The inside was also clean and quite well presented, and definitely aimed at a younger more hipster" crowd

This is SUCH a nice place. It would likely end up becoming an exercise in romanticism for me to describe my experience here. Delectable cocktails, delicious food and very importantly - very warm, welcoming servers all underscored by groovy music.

International review: we have been reviewing a number of the restaurants in Inverness and Scotch & Rye has taken top spot. The venue itself is nice, good music (not too loud), nice layout and lighting - great for groups or more intimate occasions. Also it's dog friendly (bonus points for the good boiz). The food is very tasty, and it's best described as pub style offerings but done classy. So think burgers and fries but the burgers have a range of flavours and additions, and the fries come in various offerings including delicious loaded fries. We didn't get around to the deserts (we got stuck on the cocktails) but they looked great and were fairly priced.Portion wise a main and loaded fries is a filling meal, so they are generous (starters on top of these or desert may be too much for some!).The range of beers is great (we tried the brewtoon and that was fab, but you can do beer flights too for variety). Cocktails are also a great range, the £6 staples are all great, but it you want to go a bit more fancy you're looking at £8-£12 but these are also great offerings. The staff are friendly, prompt, and competent (they can split a bill without asking or causing a fuss which is a big win for group dining).Caution: book in advance, even if it's on the same day. They get busy and often only take bookings. We look forward to another visit later this year!

Nice ambience with a considerable selection of drinks. The food was also very good, with a special taste and presentation. All in all, everything is very coherent and it is a must to stop here.Greetings From Germany!

Was up in Inverness for work and was wandering around the city centre looking for somewhere for food. Stumbled across Scotch and Rye and they were very good to get me a table.Food was amazing. Staff made some great recommendations from the menu for food and I matched it up with a 2 pint stein.Cannot fault the place. Lovely atmosphere and everyone I dealt with were great. Will 100% be back on my next visit to Inverness for work.

The service was good but nothing to rave about, the place is clean and the atmosphere is good. The drinks were nice but to be honest, the food could use some work. We got the deep fried haggis which was probably the best thing we got. The jalapeno poppers weren't breaded well so they fell apart. The Mac n cheese really didn't have much flavor. I got their variation of a Philly cheesesteak and between the light serving of meat and off seasoning, I can't say I would be back.

The vegetarian burger was a really sad experience. Hard and cold bun, no mayo to mention, a nasty looking small lettuce slice and that’s it. Expensive. Avoid this place, even McDonalds is better!
