The Gossip Play Cafe | The Gossip Play Café is Bristol’s first Montessori inspired play cafe that focusses on zero waste and sustainability. The Bedminster based café, provides a calm and relaxing environment for parents to enjoy vegan and vegetarian food, whilst also supplying a safe space for children to play. The play space inspires independent and sensory play aimed at 0-4 year olds.

Lovely little play space for little ones, great toys, lovely and clean. The coffee is really good! And so was the vegan panini. It's so nice to be able to sit and enjoy a coffee whilst the babies are having fun. A great space, I'll go again and again I'm sure!

Beautiful play cafe which I loved visiting with my baby. It has loads of really lovely toys and a calming atmosphere. I only wish it was a bit cheaper to attend with two kids as I never feel like I can justify the expense when I have both to entertain. A sibling discount would be handy!

The Gossip Play Cafe
We booked Gossip Play for my daughter's third birthday. It was a lovely atmosphere and the kids had a great time. The decor is beautiful and the toys were enjoyed by all. The owner is a top gent and was very accommodating.Only constructive feedback would be...- Part of the ethos of the cafe is sustainability. We didn't know there would be plates available for cake and so brought our own paper ones. There also weren't enough for both adults and children so we ended up using the paper plates anyway!- We didn't know there was free juice for the little ones so weren't able to pass on the message to our guests at first...if there's a way to make this clear to people that would be good.- We invited the maximum number of people but only around half were able to make it and this seemed like comfortable number. More may have been a bit chaotic (but this is probably just personal preference!).

Small play space where both children and parents get charged for access (£3-5 depending on the time), which would be fine if adult entry included a drink, but it doesn’t. Don’t seem particularly clean, which you’d want it to be. There’s no play etiquette or guidance, so depending on who you’re sharing the space with, your little one might not have the best time. Lots of vegan options but terrible cake (cakesmiths supplies most venues in the city and are by far superior to the shop bought stuff they sell here at just about the same price). Good selection of wooden toy, but pretty worn and it doesn’t seem to get regularly updated or even swapped around.

Such a lovely little Montessori play cafe for little ones (Max age 3 at a push. Best age 0-2). It may be small but plenty to do to fill the time slot. The sand pit is a good little addition too. It is very clean. Staff are so lovely, friendly and welcoming. Great place to hold a little ones birthday party too. Only negative I would say is the prices are high for food and drinks!

A lovely place to go for a session with your little one. It's not huge but has a couple of different areas (sandpit, book corner, wooden toy section). I was there when it was at capacity but it didn't feel overcrowded at all. All the toys are great condition and from scandiborn, little dutch etc. Beautifully designed and reasonably priced (make sure you book a ticket for each person because 1 ticket doesn't automatically include 1 child and 1 adult). It has a lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend

The Gossip Play Cafe
A cosy but engaging spot in Bedminister, with plenty to keep a little one entertained. Sand pit, ball pit, toy kitchen, sensory toys and more! The cafe itself serves delicious sandwiches and coffees, however, the venue understandably operates more for the little ones! The owners are incredibly pleasant, and helpful. Great for a couple of hours, particularly with others there!
