Fire and Ice

I could not have been happier with choosing Fire and Ice as our wedding photographer and videographer! Everyone on the team was incredibly passionate and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. They were particularly helpful in suggesting poses and new shots so you know you’re going to get the best photos possible. Huge shout out to Chris and Jack for all their hard work and bringing all their energy on the day.Edit after receiving our final gallery: First off, we did receive some amazing photos from our wedding day, primarily the photos of the bride and groom. You can tell a lot of time and and care went in to those (we were pulled aside 3 separate times for different shots through out the day).Sadly, there were a couple of overarching issues that are the reason for the edit in rating. Firstly, the admin process was a bit frustrating. Before the wedding, we were supposed to have a call with the photographer that would be there on the day. I had to chase to book this in. We then booked one in but this had to be cancelled the day before due to a last minute scouting trip. We then booked another date but on the day we were asked if we could move the time again. We finally had the call (without the groom due to the last minute time change) but the photographer for the day didn’t even attend. I spoke with the admin team instead and highlighted certain priorities for us. To wrap up, they offered to set up a WhatsApp group with us and the photographer so we could speak with him in advance. But this was never done.As mentioned above, on the day, the team were great and helpful. However, when we received the final gallery, it was apparent that certain requests/ shots weren’t passed through from our initial call to the photographers. Additionally, there was so much care put into our couples’ photos but our family shots felt a bit rushed and were done outside when the weather wasn’t ideal (i.e windy and bright sun), meaning they didn’t look as polished as I’d expect based on Fire and Ice’s portfolio. These photos had been flagged as a being a priority for us so we would have liked a bit more care/ options here.Finally, while I appreciate we got married in peak wedding season and that the contract stipulated a minimum delivery time of photos, we were provided several different delivery dates which would come and go, I would follow up, and then we would be provided another date. Just a bit more transparency and only providing real timelines would have gone along way here.We have communicated all the above feedback to the company and were provided a print of a photo as a form of make-good. When we received this though, we were sadly disappointed with the print quality. You could see obvious print lines in the sky/ highlights of the photo.While I still wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fire and Ice for great photography, hoping the above can just help the team tighten up their admin process to ensure clients have a more seamless experience.

Just outstanding! As soon as I saw some of the photos from Fire & Ice I knew I needed them for my wedding day! Amazing from start to finish, extremely professional, friendly they just fit right in with your day. Everything was so easy they got everyone organised and just took all the stress away from us. The photos speak for themselves and aren’t just your typical wedding photos they have this edge to them which we love!

As a wedding planner it was an amazing experience working with the Fire & Ice team. They made my job as a planner very easy. Pre-event, they were very attentive, creative and collaborative and on the day extremely passionate to get the best shots. Chris is simply a creative genius in how he thinks on his feet with whatever is around him to get a unique powerful clip. The team were professional, personable and I look forward to working with them again!

We knew we didn't want the standard collection of wedding photos - our aspiration was to have our special day captured, not by a photographer, but by an artist. We had seen the incredible work of Fire & Ice online, it stood out far beyond anything else we had seen during a long period of research, and we knew immediately they had the vision, style, and talent to not only capture the special moments of a big event, but also create spectacular scenes and settings for incredible imagery. When we first chatted with Christian we were captivated by his passion and motivation for pushing the boundaries and exploring opportunities. Having expected the Engagement Shoot to be a low-key affair to get used to being in front of the camera, it quickly evolved into an incredible filming experience. On their direction we were on location for sunrise and at one point fully-clothed under a waterfall... why not?? The pictures and videos were beyond anything we could have imagined and will cherish forever! For the Wedding itself, we again had the most incredible time working with the team. All the guests commented at how remarkable they were coordinating everyone and setting up the creative shots, and from the sneak peaks we've seen already, we know we have some truly unbelievable imagery to look forward to. The more you throw yourself in and trust in their direction, no matter how crazy it may feel at the time, go with it - you will not be disappointed. Not only will you come away with stunning pics/videos, you shall have the best experience working with the nicest team you could hope to meet. This team doesn't require reviews - their work on their website and social speaks for themselves. Booking Fire & Ice as our photographer/videographer for our wedding was by far the easiest decision we've made, their work smashes others out of the park. What an incredibly talented and creative team, so fun to have around on the day, they hyped everyone up. The bridesmaids and groomsman absolutely loved them! Would highly recommend booking F&I, we cannot wait for the final photos and films!

Honestly don’t even know where to start. Photo’s for your wedding day are one of the most important things you want to get right and my god did we get it right. Picking Fire & Ice is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We searched high and low for perfection and my god did we find it. The team are some of the nicest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. It’s honestly like having your friends take your photos for you. Now for the photos themselves. PHENOMENAL. They are truly out of this world. The talent that they all hold behind the lens is second to none and their photography is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. My best man is a wedding photographer and said “they are without doubt the best photographers he’s ever come across”. Thank you Fire & Ice, you are utterly amazing at what you do and we we can’t wait for the next party we can have you as our photographers.

What can I say about Fire & Ice that gives the correct level of service we received? The answer is I cannot. But, I’ll try.We booked Fire & Ice for our wedding day on the 14th of May 2018. To this day I still truly believe it’s the most incredible combination of videography and photography I’ve seen to date.OUR VIEWS:For us personally, we watch and view our incredible wedding videos and photos weekly. Since then, our duo became a trio with the birth of our little man. Huxley Grey Strange! We are so glad we have the ability to show Huxley, his mother and fathers wedding day in great depth once he is old enough.For us, the team (especially Christian, Stewart and Yaky) are more than just people we hired for our wedding, we have kept in touch, watched our family’s grow and become friends. The team on the day, made our day run as smoothly as possible! Also, kept the kids busy and entertained, showing them their kit. Since then, my nephew wants to become a photographer. That’s the kind of people they are! They inspire with their work & their personalities.We are so very happy that we chose and trusted this incredible team to capture one of the biggest days anyone has in their lifetimes. We chose Fire & Ice to cover our wedding for both Photography and Videography and I can hand on heart say it’s the one “wedding purchase” I’m 100% glad we made! The team were amazing from beginning to end and the end result is far beyond anything we ever expected! I can’t stress enough how worth it Fire & Ice are, you would regret not booking them! Both my husband and I are so awkward when it comes to having our picture taken but they made it so effortless for us... our friends have even been asking us to hire out a cinema for a showing of their work because they’re just as blown away!

Not only did their photos & videos blow us away, we were also completely in awe of their passion for what they do. The experience Fire & Ice gave us on our wedding day is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. They surpassed all expectation and are true professionals. Their thoughtfulness throughout the day shone so brightly almost everyone that attended our wedding commented on their professionalism and positive energy.
