MODA Doors

Terrible company. Avoid at all cost. I ordered 6 doors, 2 of which were delivered in the wrong size. When I contacted them asking to exchange for the correct size I was asked to pay for 50% of the cost of each door to return them as they don’t do exchanges in addition to paying £36 for delivery of the new doors. All of the communication was immediately after receiving the doors so MODA were in breach of the Consumer Contracts Regulation (2013) but it wasn’t worth pursuing as they are a bunch of cowboys. Go elsewhere. They aren’t worth the hassle.

I ordered a door online and also spoke to their customer service, who was incredibly polite and helpful & told me the door was being dispatched the next day. Next day, I received a text to confirm delivery 3 days after.On the delivery day (today) i received a text to confirm and a number to call for exact time, which I called, a very friendly lady told me the time-slot.Door delivered and is exactly what was described on the website, if not, better.

I would strongly advise that you do not use Moda Doors. I was really impressed with the selection of doors and customer service up to when my doors were delivered. I needed two doors. The first two were faulty. Another two were delivered. They were faulty. It was beyond complicated to get them all returned and I am still chasing a refund. No doors, no refund. They have not replied to any of my e mails chasing my refund. I am appalled. Their communication as soon as I needed to return doors became non existent causing stress and frustration. I have now used Howdens. Far superior in every way. Arrived in perfect condition and fitted even before Moda have bothered to respond to any one of my e mails.

We purchased an external oak stable door and frame from MODA Doors which once fitted we discovered was very poor quality. The frame came disassembled and also not to size, so beware you'll have to size this yourselves. The 44mm door did not fit the 44mm casing as it should leaving the door proud of the frame internally. Not only is this unsightly, it affects the draught exclusion strip and the locking mechanism. A compliant was made immediately however, it took MODA 6 weeks to make an offer which was unsuitable. Since making our complaint we've observed further issues such as, the door swelling despite being sealed causing the frame to crack and poor quality of the door finishing at manufacture leaving skid marks across the finished timber. MODA door products are poor quality and the customer service leaves much to be desired. We're left we a substandard product with no resolution or compensation. Images attached. NOT RECOMMENDED

Great company….1st class service.I was always very concerned when ordering doors online after previous experiences. But after dealing with MODA I know I can now order doors with confidence and will be ordering more doors from them in the future.After expressing my concerns they arranged delivery direct from the manufacturer which used their own transportation and drivers. And after two weeks later I spotted a fault on one of the doors so I contacted MODA and they quickly arranged a replacement door.It’s good to know this company will look after you after ordering and not have the “nothing to do with us” attitude unlike some other companies out there.

Would of been a zero if it would allow me to rate lower.I placed an order for two doors and was told they were in stock and would be delivered within 3-5 days. After waiting 4 days I was told the doors were out of stock and would I like them to send me some similar alternatives, which I agreed to. After waiting another day, I was informed that there wasn’t any alternatives. I advised the agent to make a full refund, to which he agreed.That was over a week ago, since then I have Called, emailed And messaged the online chat but had no response!I am £350 out of pocket and can’t get through to the company!Absolutely disgusting!Do not use this company!!RIP OFF!!!

I ordered 9 doors that promptly arrived. One showed a manufacturing fault with lifting of a small part of the veneer. Callum at MODA immediately contacted the manufacturers and a replacement was arranged immediately without hesitation. Given the problem, I could not have asked for quicker service. The doors have proved to be excellent too. I certainly would recommend them.

Really disappointed by the quality of the XL Joinery doors and the subsequent response from Moda. . Less than 3 weeks after fitting, the majority of our 15 doors started to peel at the top and bottom corners. At £155 per door I expected better! Initially I was offered less than half the total value back (I declined). I was the offered a replacement or refund but when I asked for compensation for the associated costs I.e a joiner to refit replacement doors (at a cost of just under £1000), it got frustrating. They’d only pay this if I selected XL Joinery doors but when there were none that I liked I had to resort to my credit card company for support. So as it stands I’m out of pocket for doors that are less than a month old but are faulty…..not the outcome I was looking for! Save yourself a headache and avoid Moda and XL Joinery.

They say the best way to judge the quality of service is how they solve a problem. The problem was of my making but the team at MODA sorted it all out for me, the service was personal to me and always with the same contact.I bought my doors from them for a combination of product and price but would absolutely commend them for their service, too.Thanks Callum and Pete.

Shocking company.Ordered a door for £120 in December 2021. Was told the door wasn't available until Feb/March so cancelled the order on 10th Jan 2022. Guy on the phone said refund 'would be issued within the week'.Over 2 weeks later still no sign of a refund, and after several phone calls they just make stuff up like 'the refund was issued on last Friday'.These clowns are like the taxi driver saying they're 'just round the corner' when they haven't even left the depot, and have no intention of leaving the depot.Stay well clear.
