We loved eating at the Highlander. The food itself is just average (we both got burgers). The real draw here is the whiskey and the live music! Tartan Paint was playing and it was incredible. Definitely my favorite moment of our trip to Scotland!

A very atmospheric place with great live music. The night we were here there was a Scottish band playing fiddle, bagpipes and guitar and also singing great. We walked past but were drawn in by the great music already playing in the street and then sat and listened all night long, enjoying great location beers and other drinks. There were tourists from many countries and this was a good way to get to know the Highlands and especially the Highland music.

We had a great time listening to live Scottish music in the pub. It was filled with people, with everyone having a great time. The bar serves a lot of Whiskey options, including tasting trays. They also have plenty of choices of beer on tap. Bar service is quick and fantastic :)

Incredible place! Super cool ambience full of nice people that want to have fun. The food is delicious and abundant. The beer too. Suitable for going with children. Saturday evening there was a traditional celtic music playing and we could no resist to dance!

What an interesting place! Popped in for a drink and stayed for food. The bar staff were really sweet, especially one lady who could see I was quite shy. Myself and my partner both had food, which was well presented and very tasty! I loved the haggis, tatties and dumplings I had. My partner had three whiskey drams, which he really seemed to enjoy. We both really enjoyed our desserts too - the deep fried Mars bar is a must for the curious tourist!I found the lighting and the music really interesting - I bet this place is fantastic when they have live music playing!

Excellent excellent Excellent!!!! Such good food and great entertainment! So glad we stumbled in. The pub is not listed on Trip Adviser and that is normally my go to but had to leave a review somewhere. We are vacationing around Scotland and spent 2 nights in Inverness. If you are traveling like we are, stop in! Order some food and stay for the entertainment. We had so much fun last night!!! If you're looking for traditional Scottish music look no further!!! Thank you for such a wonderful night!!!!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Brilliant service and food. Really good value. We were only here for lunch but heard about music evenings so will defo be back. If you're in Inverness defo come here

We were looking for a late lunch (3pm) and most places were not serving food. Luckily Highlander was serving food and good beer. We got the fish & chips and steak pie- both good.
