Beware of Mansion Knight Properties: Unjust Refund DenialI am a student who arrived here for educational purposes, and my experience with Mansion Knight Properties has been incredibly disheartening. My friends and I, a group of five people, each paid £412 as an advance payment and deposit, but we are now facing immense difficulty in getting our money refunded.Mansion Knight Properties' handling of our refund request has been highly disappointing. As students who are already facing financial challenges, this situation has put an additional burden on us. Despite providing valid reasons for the refund and adhering to all the necessary procedures, the company has repeatedly denied our request without any explanation or clear communication. The lack of empathy and understanding exhibited by Mansion Knight Properties is deeply troubling. As students, we rely heavily on our finances and every penny matters to us. Their refusal to refund our hard-earned money has left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of.It is important for students and other potential tenants to be cautious when dealing with Mansion Knight Properties. Their unethical behaviour and disregard for customer satisfaction raises serious concerns about their professionalism and integrity. In light of my experience, I strongly advise fellow students and prospective tenants to explore other real estate options and avoid engaging with Mansion Knight Properties. It is crucial to choose a reputable and reliable property management company that values its customers and upholds ethical business practices.Mansion Knight Properties' unjust refusal to refund our advance payment and deposit has caused significant financial strain on myself and my friends. As students, we trusted them with our money, only to be let down by their lack of transparency and disregard for our situation. I caution others to steer clear of this company to avoid similar hardships and disappointment.

I would have put 0 stars if i could have. The service Mason Knight has provided has been disgraceful. We have been ignored and spoken to awfully when regarding maintenance issues with out household. The women we spoke to over the phone refused to let us speak with the manager and regarded our issues as small when they affect our day to day lives. I am completely disappointed in this service.

My review is on behalf of my partner. I for one have not rented from these people and thankfully, never will however I was with my girlfriend Terri who did and had a terrible experience with Mason Knights. I have seen the communication and it’s not professional at all and wish friends and family to avoid.I also did a bit of research on the reviews. Interesting how they are quick to call 1 star reviews “fake”. When all of the 5 star reviews have no profile pictures and if you look at the accounts with multiple reviews, very rarely are reviews on UK businesses. But most the 1 stars, have profile pictures and not afraid to share their identity. I suspect most of their 5 star reviews are paid for or from fake accounts.

WORST DECISION - STUDENTS BEWAREI rented from MasonKnight with three of my friends during the 2019/2020 academic year. Off to a bad start, we were informed that MasonKnight wanted to refurbish the house we were in (74 Raddlebarn Road) during our tenancy, starting with our spare room, then moving us individually out of our rooms to work on the others. The construction work started around 7-8am, even on weekends which was very disruptive for everyone. At the start of April 2020 - just two weeks after the country had gone into its first lockdown - we were moved to another property on Katie Road. At the end of June, we were informed that the Katie Road house had been let to another group of students and that we would have to move yet again. This time, our group was moved into albeit a lovely house on Haborne Lane. Little did we know, the owners of the property had not been alerted, and we were moved into their house without their knowledge. To make matters more uncomfortable, this new property had no WiFi installed, the utilities were on a top-up card which hadn't been loaded so the electricity and hot water didn't work!We took cold showers, borrowed the neighbour's internet and called Adrian Mason. When he arrived, he informed us about the top-up cards, which we promptly asked him to sort out as we felt this was up to MasonKnight to arrange. It took 7 days to get WiFi to this third and final property, and two of us were masters students at the time. Finally, any time we felt we did not receive a response in an appropriate timescale, one of us would visit their offices on Tiverton (before the pandemic), only to find the staff were hostile and uninviting. They told us that we were not meant to come in person but rather wait for a reply via email or through their app (which was functional at best). When a family member of mine left a review on their Facebook page detailing the stress we had been through just at the start of the tenancy, I was sent an email by a representative of MasonKnight asking me to remove this review within 24 hours.Appalling behaviour, especially during a pandemic.

Mason knight properties, in my experience are very good sellers, but I feel that the follow up support could be better. We moved into the property which felt like it wasn't ready although we had our move in date confirmed.Mason knight are pretty good at getting some jobs done but there are others still pending and I don't feel there is much urgency as it takes them quite a long time to reply.I feel they can come across sounding rude whether this is intended I don't know but sometimes it feel like they are the customers.

Absolutely awful and unprofessional company. If you are a student thinking about renting with them all I can say is DONT. The staff is very unprofessional and rude; you can't speak to anyone on the phone about issues you're having, then conveniently they don't answer emails addressing these concerns either. They take advantage of students who may not be financially stable and try to charge them as much as possible to make as much money as possible. **STUDENTS STAY AWAY FROM MASON KNIGHT**

***STAY AWAY FROM MASON KNIGHT*** Horrible letting agency for students. They prey of vulnerable students who are not yet fully financially stable and take advantage. The property was a good standard when we moved in, and when we moved out we spent around 24 hrs collectively doing our best to clean and leave the property the way it was found so it was equally left very clean. According to mason knight, a small cobweb in the downstairs bathroom that was used *once* requires a cleaning fee of £40. This is absolutely ridiculous and extortionate for anybody, let alone a student. In addition to this, the garden was extremely overgrown upon arrival, and was very unwelcoming and unhygienic as there were occasions where rats would be seen in the shrubs - they decided this was *our* fault and they charged us £180 for this, bearing in mind we never ever sat outside due to the unpleasantness of it. We tried to contact mason knight about this but they completely ignored our requests. We were great tenants in my opinion -- we always paid rent on time and respected the staff (despite one agent entering my flatmates' room whilst she was showering with his key, as her door was locked - this is a breach of privacy). We were compliant to everything from them, but they disrespect us by doing this... Absolutely vile and inhumane. I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody. ***STAY AWAY FROM MASON KNIGHT ***They also have nobody to speak with on the phone, it is all redirected to email where we waited almost a month for a response, and in that time they charged us £600 for solicitors fees!! We always responded immediately to their emails, whilst they took their time and avoided and disregarded all photographic evidence we sent. It's vile how agencies can get away with this behaviour, it should be illegal. 0/5 stars.

Had a terrible previous experience renting a student property with MasonKnight. Lots of promises that were unfulfilled when they talked about property renovation and even had the audacity to blame us for bathroom mould which was present before we moved in and were assured would be treated during our tenancy. On leaving we thoroughly cleaned the property and left it in a better state that we had found it - but were still charged from our deposit for further cleaning. We went through the deposit protection scheme and a picture of a tiny amount of fluff on the carpet was provided as evidence. We managed to keep a portion of our deposit. What really annoys me though is that this was all 7 years ago and I still periodically receive emails from them about totally irrelevant properties. This is despite me requesting that they delete my personal data from their system.

Treated students apaulingly,We're clueless and took ages to sort stuff out, didn't care about emergency gas leakage and carbon monoxide posion which the students had experience.Left them without heating and hot water for several days. The woman who dealt with the students refused to talk to the emergency gas engineer and told the students to mute the phone,Didn't care that they could of died,She needs to be sacked , disgusting behaviour. The engineer told them to replace the boiler.

My time with masonknight has been nothing short of awful. We encountered problems such as cold showers for days even weeks, a carbon monoxide monitor taking an extensive period of time to be fixed amongst many of other issues. The energy company they use, Quantum NRG is also a poor quality service whom I suspect of making up charges in regards to utilities. My total bill, which was delivered late (no surprise there) came up to nearly eight thousand pounds despite us not being in the house all year round and one of the tenants not being there much at all. They are taking advantage of our positions as students to extort us and it needs to be stopped sooner than rather.
