Process is still ongoing but overall very poor communication after sign up. No updates on progress or key events; no notice that lead contact had changed; no contact on who or why a Personal Representative had been appointed or what their qualification for the role was. Nobody has checked all relatives have been contacted. Information only given when chased and then we have to exchange information amongst ourselves and sometimes that has been conflicting. Very unimpressed.Updated 4th June - was contacted by the Chief Executive and now received the family tree. I have uplifted the rating to three stars to reflect the receipt of the family tree and because they made the effort to contact me from the review. My main criticism about lack of an update remains but they have said they will consider this.

Out of the blue some 18 months ago I received several letters regarding the estate of a distant relative who had died. His mother was a sister of my maternal grandmother who was one of a large family of sisters and brothers. I had never met him or knew anything of him, although I do vaguely remember in my youth my mother speaking of his mother. I decided to use Eileen Butcher, from Anglia Research, this has been a long winded and tortuous process but throughout it all Eileen has been so very helpful and supportive. I would just like to thank Eileen for helping us to get to a final resolvement and would have no hesitation in recomending her and Anglian research to anyone who finds themselves in a similar position

I first became aware of my Great Aunt's unclaimed estate and her complex case when Anglia Research contacted me in 2012. It seemed an impossible task to navigate the many twists and turns of her mysterious background to the satisfaction of the Government Legal Department, but Anglia said they were prepared to persist with it on my behalf at all costs, and persist they did, all the way to the High Courts.I never thought her estate would turn out so favourably for us as her distant family, but the many years of very hard work and determination by Anglia Research eventually proved beneficial to myself, my brothers and our families.I wish on behalf of my Great Aunt's relatives to thank everyone at Anglia Research for their efficiency and all the tremendous hard work and hours that they put into this long and very complicated case.Thank you.Gillian Liles

When I got a letter out of the blue from Anglia Research about a legacy, my first thought was that it was a scam. Not so as it turned out. Eileen and Emma were first rate in talking me through the process and keeping me informed of progress and although it took some while to settle I was happy with the service I received. On receiving a letter from Eileen Butcher at Anglia Research I had no experience of heir hunters so I looked online to see what to expect. There were a lot of stories of people's experiences, but fortunately Eileen was better than anything I'd seen described. Braced to be wary about being grilled for information, Eileen gave information rather than interrogating me. She was polite and shared an amazing amount of information about my family, some of which was either new to me or had been long forgotten. The whole process was explained to me clearly, along with timescales and a copy of the family tree was made available to me at the end. If you are contacted by this company while I am sorry for the loss you must have suffered, but you will be in the best hands.

I contacted Anglia Research Services on what seemed to be an impossible feat at the time. My contact was Matt Boardman. He turned my query round and provided me with the information I required in under an hour! Extremely grateful for the result. I will be using their services again if I need to, and would highly recommend them.

As with many of us, a letter which seemed too good to be true was at first rejected. I contacted other family members who'd had same, and given the follow up calls with Anglia Research, we proceeded. Eileen was fantastic and each time I connected with her was super helpful and fully transparent. Suffice to say, we the research into a family member will was concluded and we were rewarded with a payout. Eileen Butcher was very helpful. I am sight impaired and Eileen arranged for me to have large print letters or emailed information to me. I then had Covid with secondary infections and had not been in touch for some months. Called yesterday and our family tree was emailed to me by return. Am very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.
