Ferry Slipway

A tad disappointed as the last ferry was 1.15pm due to the tide. Will have to come again soon

Very nice little trip

Beautiful place

Disembarked from the Fleetwood to Knott End ferry at the end of this long stone slipway that juts out into the mudflats of the Wyre Estuary. It can get quite muddy underfoot after a high tide, and a chain is fastened across the entrance to the slipway to restrict access when the ferry is not running. Great views back towards Fleetwood seafront and across Morecambe Bay to the Cumbrian hills. There's a café and free car parking next to the slipway. It takes about five minutes to walk from here into the centre of the village.
