We originally connected with Richard as we recognised both his technical and artistic approach to photography. Prior to our wedding day we also benefitted from having a pre-wedding shoot which enabled us to develop our connection with Richard and be relaxed with being photographed on the big day.On the day it was fun and relaxed and Richard captured the laughter and spirit in the ceremony and at our evening party. We now have a beautiful set of photos which show our happiness and the laughter amongst our guests too!Richard has a lovely quiet and calm approach and you won't have him shouting or bossing your guests around!! He'll put you at ease and move effortlessly amongst you. Thank you Richard :-)

Richard photographed our wedding in July - the pre wedding meeting was not good Richard has his ways and it was not easy. On the day the weather was sun/showers and the pics of the wedding were ok however we stressed our main importance were pics of us as a couple. Theres 1 beautiful pic of hubby but the sole one of me has red brick behind and a table.Together theres either tripods/hair over face with very limited editing done. All pics we received 1 colour/1 black and white. We were disappointed asked if anymore shots of us told no. We have had our couples pics taken again by a different photographer and are delighted.

Richard photographed our wedding in July 2022. From the minute we contacted him to receiving our photo's, Richard was professional and friendly. 10/10, already have done and will continue to recommend Richard to others, the photos we received were amazing!

I recently had a lesson with Richard and learnt more in one session than from months of watching You Tube videos and reading photography books. He breaks down the fundamentals of photography in to simple steps that anyone can grasp. I look forward to having further lessons in the future and for anyone looking to get the most from their camera I recommend booking a lesson.

Hi,I bought a 5D to get me into Full Frame photography before I'd heard of Richard but it didn't take long to find his youtube channel when searching answers to how best to use my 5d. His knowledge ,instructional vids, enthusiasm and appreciation of this fabulous camera, encouraged me to buy another so I will have a 5d for the rest of my photo taking life if they do become difficult to find. I enjoyed your post on the Canon 5D classic. I had purchased a 5D but the mirror fell off and I had to return it. I will be looking for another 5D camera soon so please keep me in mind.I realize that your cameras are a bit more expensive but it would be worth it not to have to worry about it falling apart.Ron A.

Richard was fantastic, and caught all the beautiful moments we could have asked for on our wedding day. Between our dog being there and our nephew bowling the wedding ring box across the church floor, Richard captured it all. I don’t like myself in photos, and I love these. I can’t recommend enough!

I've been enjoying Richard's videos for quite some time now. His appreciation of the Canon 5D classic and his manual exposure are what attracted me in the first place, then I hung around to take in all his work. His gentle demeanour and strong experience are important attributes of a worthy presenter that a great many photographers should appreciate. I earned my SLR chops with a Pentax Spotmatic back in the 70s and I still appreciate the advice and information he has on offer.

We had planed our wedding,early but had left the photographer until last, however all were fully booked,then a email arrived from Richard, he was on holiday in our area and would stay a extra day for us, so we booked.We found Richard a very pleasant person, he arrived on time,and enquired what we wanted,we said just do your own thing as you are the expert. When we viewed the photos we were amazed he had captured all the family,friends just as we had hoped, everybody laughing, really enjoying a fantastic day, Richard you did us really proud.
