I had an engine warning light flashing on my dash. Sean responded promptly to my need for help. Diagnosed the problem (spark plugs and coil), picked up the car, fixed the problem, and delivered the car again. Excellent customer service and service delivery. Highly recommended

My car failed it's MOT due to a fault with the lights that turned out not to be a simple bulb failure but an on board computer issue. I contacted several autoelectricians (who didn't seem to be interested or were too busy) before coming across SMC Autolec. They offer a mobile service and visited my home within a day or two. They analysed the problem using specialist software which was pretty complicated. I think they needed to order a special part but they returned pretty quickly and resolved the problem. My lights are now working again. The technician was very informative and helpful and appeared to have a wealth of experience.

I broke down unexpectedly as I travelled to Scotland, from South Wales. I called my usual breakdown service, who attended, but were not able to diagnose the problem immediately, as it was out of work hours.Left with the choice of staying local to Carlisle for the weekend, I was advised by a lady in a local pub, to call SMC AUTOLEC.Their prompt service and diagnostic ability, enabled my car to be fixed that night, enabling me to complete my journey the following day.I can’t thank the guys enough at SMC AUTOLEC. Came out once and asked for £60. Said he’d be back to diagnose the issue properly. Hasn’t been back since and it’s been more than a week. False promises, cancel last minute and unprofessional.
