Newminster Abbey
THIS IS PRIVATE LAND. DO NOT TRESPASS. THIS AREA IS PROTECTED BY HISTORIC ENGLAND AND IS A GRADE II LISTED BUILDING.This site is the ruins of what was originally an Abbey to the size and likes of Fountains Abbey in Ripon.It is a huge. It had been destroyed by the scots over the centuries and fallen to ruin. Which is all that remains.The site is magical and mystical since no one has been allowed to enter it since the 70's. Completely untouched you get a chance to imagine how it could have been.When the sunset light shines along the stones and arches it glows and you feel like you're in a fairytale land.So peaceful and calming.
