A very small shop, beware as it gets busy quickly - it can be over crowded. There's a nice selection of food and drinks, we just had coffee because it was so busy and we had too short of a time constraint to wait, but it was fine. The staff seem friendly and there are loads of sweets and ice cream, which would be great for kids. Hopefully next time I can stay for some food and see how that is.Edit: 25/02/23We stayed for some food this year! I had a lovely back sandwich and coffee, and bought some sweets. It was lovely. The only problem, again, was how crowded the seating was.

Great venue and exceptional service. Had a mini breakfast about £3 per toast or tea bread item. Lovely fire in the side room and the sweet shop is a kids or grandparents treat.

What a find, called in for lunch and a cup of tea and came out with some wonderful old gardening tools and some naughty sweets. Dog friendly and very clean and pleasant. Food was lovely too. Would highly recommend a visit. I will certainly be back. :-)

Joan welcomed us and was very warm and friendly. Helpful in seating us and taking our order. Linda the owner chatted to us as we were about to leave. A very eclectic must visit little tea room! A cornucopia of China and items from many ages.

What a fabulous find. Scrummy cakes served on pretty plates, fascinating vintage decorative items at very reasonable prices, an old fashioned sweet shop, dog friendly and excellent service from welcoming staff. Set in a pretty village beside a stream. What more could you ask for?

Called in after walking some of the canal tow path. Nice unusual dog friendly cafe, staff serving us were friendly, although we asked to access the WiFi and manager refused which was a surprise to us as this has never happened to us before therefore we wouldn’t necessarily now return. We had a chip butty so nothing to write home about. Good tea choice but on the expensive side £2.80! This is the most expensive cuppa we’ve had while on holiday in the area.

Busy spot, considering it was quiet when we Arrived after 2pm, then all of Sudden busy. Either have one person stationed at the kiosk buying sweets nd paying for goods highly recommend. Otherwise was Fun and Quirky with old style memory Sweet Shop, garden potting shed shop and cafe

Absolutely shocking quality of food at an extortionate price. We called in as needed to grab a sandwich on our way home. Firstly they were rude and difficult about us wanting to take our sandwich away. When we got back to the car we were very disappointed. Ordered a ham and cheese toasty, we got a slither of ham and not much tomato with no cheese. Not what we ordered. This cost us £6.50!!!We ordered a sausage sandwich with ketchup. The sausage was cut into little chunks and was extremely dry with no ketchup. We also asked for a toasted fruit teacake, we were given a plain scone instead.Absolutely shocking, will not be going back, especially at those prices. If we'd not been in a rush to get off we would have taken the food straight back and demanded a refund. What a waste of money.

Lovely quaint tea room. Great, reasonably priced food and drink; pleasant, welcoming staff and lovely traditional atmosphere! Everywhere you look inside is decorated with traditional British memorabilia. A step back in time. Sweet shop has a fantastic selection of sweets and really good value. Couldn’t disagree more with the negative reviews on here.
