Herd Hire Basingstoke

We had been badly let down by a moving company. Herd were able to provide a van at incredibly short notice and a very reasonable price. Really great service, will be top of my list in the future.

Extremely good service & very good vehicles. Very happy. Just important to do a thorough check of damage pre hire (take a video with a phone) as sometimes there are marks even the hire team are not aware of. But we were all good and thank you.

Good quality vans at very reasonable hire prices. I was able to hire at short notice for a flat move and got fantastic service all through from Paula and her team. Much appreciated and will definitely use for the next move.

Got to be honest I never heard of this firm before, my daughter having booked it. But I’m glad she did as the staff were friendly and helpful. I picked it up at 8.30 and returned it at 3.30. I thought the larger Peugeot van was perfect for the removal job. I will use them again.

I have used Herd Hire in Basingstoke on a number of occasions and I would highly recommend them. The overall service is excellent. Both Paula and Pete are always helpful and responsive. I have hired a small Caddy, long wheelbase and also the 3.5 ton Luton and have always found them to be clean and of high standards.We have now moved to Dorset but would still probably go to these guys if I need help in the future.Only thing I have found though is the time for the damages deposit to be returned is annoyingly long considering it come out the bank immediately but this is NOT a fault of the branch just the system.Keep up the great work and superb customer relations.All the bestLee

Van was perfect , always use Luton vans for moving tools about ect.But this time I was moving tools and I was moving house , van was perfect for the job.And would like to say how proffessional I was greeted and treated very quick no hassle , straight in straight out. Highly recommend this company. Great experience.

Fleet of vans all new and the jumbo VW Crafter just what we needed. Pete did a great job helping us to choose the right van which was really comfortable for a long journey. Paula was very helpful on the pricing and documentation for taking the van abroad. There was a generous mileage allowance which was great. Paula even provided an AA emergency travel bag and a UK sticker. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Herd Hire again.
