The Afghan Needle
Whist waiting to visit Edinburgh Castle today we lingered at this monument. We were appalled, shocked & saddened to see that the spelling of Afghanistan on this memorial was Affghanistan !!Has no-one else never spotted this? An ill-fitting tribute to the memories of these brave men. Which poorly-educated stonemason was paid money to do this?!
