We recently viewed a rental property with Colin Ellis. Both the gentleman who met us at the property and the lady I spoke to in the phone were professional. I have knocked down the review by 1 star because I feel that if you register interest in a property and supply family and income information to be passed to the landlord in hope of securing a property it would then be polite and professional to receive a quick follow up email or phone call if you are unsuccessful rather than just assuming this is the case when you notice the property later shows as let agreed on online advertising. Having this would have made the experience a 5* one even with not being successful with the property.

I bought a house from Colin Ellis. Tracey Milburn dealt with the purchase, and was very helpful. Tracey was always at hand when I tried to contact her. She went out of her way to help us even on her day off. One of the most professional estate agents in Scarborough thank you !

Having just completed the purchase of our new home In Scarborough through Colin Ellis we were impressed and completely satisfied with their excellent service. From the first viewing with James Duncan and the efforts of Rebecca Bland who's friendly professional services gave excellent support to the process. I would totally recomend the services of Colin Ellis.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Colin Ellis Estate agents. The viewing process and staff were faultless however what ultimately let's them down is their managing director. He could definitely do with learning some good customer service skills as he conducts himself very abruptly and rude.Also any communication between tenants and Colin Ellis I recommend being done in writing as they say and promise one thing to you on the phone, but go back on their promises and do another anyway. Very unprofessional and sneaky which is a shame as I'd read some great reviews beforehand. Great viewing staff however very bad management and customer service from office staff. Hopefully lessons can be learned from my experience.

We are in constant contact with James (Kirk) who is on the lookout for a specific property for us in Scarborough. We cannot fault his enthusiasm and knowledge of the local property market. Unfortunately nothing has yet appeared but we are sure that he will find us something in due course. We also previously sold a flat which belonged to my late mother and father using this agency and were very pleased with the service - especially from Tracey - which we received at the time, nothing was too much trouble. So, fingers crossed for a similar result this time. James is certainly on the case!"."

Has failed to deliver a simple request, not very good customer service

absolutely fantastic, professional, friendly and super helpful. After a year or so of absolute nightmare experiences with selling our previous home and buying another in Scarborough they were an absolute Godsend.

I cannot thank James and the team enough for all the help and support in the house selling process. From start to finish they have been incredible. My contact James Duncan has been available, helpful, friendly, informative as well as efficient. I would highly recommend this service to anybody looking to buy or sell a house in the Scarborough area. I cannot fault their service!
