Boots is one of the best places to visit for any medication, Beauty cosmetics, and many other things you might not think Boots would sell.

Regarding the Pharmacy.I have used this pharmacy for quite literally, decades. Every month I went in to collect medication to be greeted by friendly, chatty and extremely helpful staff (Catherine, Jess, and Andrea to name a few) however, over the past 3-4 months that's all changed.New staff are obnoxious and unbearable to talk to. Like they're following some script and deviating would cause Boots to be destroyed in hellfire. (Specifically, a blonde middle-aged lady with glasses who, if not already, should be called Karen as she is the absolute definition of one)Now, you 'MUST IN EVERY CASE, WAIT FOR THE HERALDED TEXT MESSAGE' and any deviation is an affront to the Boots gods, whereas the staff would happily run your script if you turned up and it wasn't done yet (as long as you didn't mind hanging around for 10-15 mins). If your prescription is due on a specific date, let's say the 10th, as that's when your medication runs out, they will not entertain you, they will not even begin to fill your script unless it's that exact date, then they tell you to wait, however many days till you get the prodigal text message letting you know your medication is finally ready, leaving you without medication for those days because heaven forbid you to order it slightly early to negate this.If your medication is due on the '10th' then it should be ready for you to collect on the 10th, not the 11th, not the 12th, and the locum pharmacists they get in have the unmitigated gall to say, 'go to a walk-in centre if you're out of medication' and treat you like you're some bottom feeder when it's their new practices that are causing delays.I have now moved pharmacies as the attitude and customer service have plummeted since they decided to take on all of Sainsbury's pharmacy customers, greed, money and quantity over quality.

Review for Pharmacy. Went to collect a prescription yesterday after work at 6 waited in the Que till around half past then the woman (tried to see her name badge but wasn’t wearing one, convenient )Blonde short hair, older looking, in the boots uniform glasses, really rude to everyone waiting in the line shouting how its 20 to 7 and they will be shutting, I was second in line and she was mumbling under her breathe that the man in front of me would be the last one, which was really worrying because I had waited a while already. Really bad customer service. I’ve worked in boots durham before and we were not allowed to close the doors till the exact time of 5.00 /5.30pm if the pharmacy has people waiting for a prescription I understand she wants to get home but absolutely no need. If you can I would recommend people go to Durham boots to collect their prescription instead. Shame I have to go collect my prescription there, nhs should have a duty of care and she should not be talking to people like that just because she wants to get home. The shop doesn’t even close till 8! Hope she has a word with someone to sort her attitude out.

Having had a bit of a drama trying to get a flu jab. I attended a drop in session at the Boots Arnison centre. The pharmacist was very knowledgeable, helpful and thorough. She managed to end the flu jab drama for me and I am very grateful, having needed to take time off work to ensure I actually received a flu jab this year. Thank you

The head pharmacist is always condescending and rude. I haven't had a single good experience with her; she always speaks down to me as though I'm a child just because I look young. She needs some retraining on how to speak to people. In my opinion, purely because of her I won't be returning to this store in the future, she is massively unhelpful and rude and not a good representative of the Boots brand.

INCIDENT 2Today, I was initially told there was nothing on the system for myself to collect from the pharmacy, even though I had phoned my GP practice before hand to make sure it had been sent to the pharmacy.Confused I said maybe my ex had stolen it, as unfortunately over the weekend my ex broken into my property, stealing a number of belonging, hence me possibly being a day early even though I had already called the doctors and knew I wasn't a day early. The pharmacist told me she didn't believe me and upon me trying to show her the crime reference number send via text message by the police she told me she didn't care, then continued to moan about me lying. I will happily provide the evidence to prove I haven't lied.My prescriptions where then found on the system 24 minutes later, I was then told I'd have to wait an hour for them to be ready. I explained that I'd waited 24 minutes already and that waiting would make me very late for work, preparing to ask, due to this, if I could come back later.I was snapped at and accused of being aggressive, unfortunately due to being autistic I am very monotone and direct with my words, I have tried to explain this on a number of occasions only for the pharmacy staff to straight out call me a liar once again, followed by the age old If you where really autistic" statement. This is ableism aka disability discrimination.During the onslaught from one pharmacist in particular
