Dave and his team have done an excellent job on our disability build. They went the extra mile with everything including assisting with unforeseen additional regulatory requirements on the ceiling for hoisting equipment. They were all very friendly and courteous throughout the build and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Daresbury Construction to anyone wanting an extension. Dave's tradesmen were equally professional and totally trustworthy.

We can’t express how pleased we are with the outcome of our build. Whilst no build can be problem free, Daresbury Construction performed above and beyond our expectations from day one to completion. Finished on budget and within time scale. The quality of the work is above and beyond our expectations including extra interior work that wasn’t originally planned and budgeted for. The finished build is now far more than the original kitchen extension we were having done. We now have a large kitchen extension, new dining room and communal area, measuring 40+sq metres. Having seen the amazing work completed on neighbouring properties by Dave and his team, when we decided to extend our own property, we didn’t hesitate to select Daresbury Construction to take on our own two storey project.Having never had major works completed before, the whole process was alien to us. Dave was great at explaining things to us, letting us know our options, and coming up with brilliant ideas that we hadn’t even considered.Dave liaised with the plumbers, plasterers and electricians which made our lives a lot easier.The whole project was finished in the summer and I have to say the result is amazing! We absolutely love our new space and are so glad we used Daresbury construction. I can’t recommend them enough.

I can't recommend Dave & lads enough. Meet Dave back in May along with several other builders & finally booked in for Dec. I picked Dave over the others as he listen to what we actually wanted rather build what he wanted to build & worked with us as well as give us the information we needed when changes to the build needed to happened or we wanted to change something. He is knowledgeable without talking building jargon .They are professional ,tidy up after themselves every single day, turn up on time every single day. They work none stop & keep where possible to timescale weather dependent. We have a beautiful conservatory with bi folds its truly stunning its built to a great standard. We can build above our garage & I will be having Dave back without a second thought or thinking about getting other quotes. Thanks so much for everything you did.

We are delighted with our extension. I’m a bit late in posting this review as the work was completed just before the April 2020 lockdown.From start to finish, David was an absolute professional and a pleasure to work with. He worked within our budget and came up with suggestions throughout the build to either save costs or to improve on some aspect of the plan.The team arrived on time every day and due to the way they plan a project, did not miss one day on site despite snow, storms and heavy rainfall.The extension of the kitchen into the garden and the addition of a utility room into the garage, was completed within the timescales David had initially advised and the finish is excellent.I’d have absolutely no hesitation in recommending David and he would be my first call if I was ever doing a building project again.

Being new to the area I needed to find a builder and searched on a local Facebook group. Obviously I was a bit nervous but David was so professional and responsive from the start. He responded to messages promptly and when we finally got off the start line due to Covid and delays on my side my husband and I couldn’t have been more pleased with David and his team. They turned up promptly each day, kept the site very tidy (my husband who used to work in the building trade was v impressed and that takes a lot!) We absolutely love our extension and adds so much to our new home. Highly recommend.

David and team recently completed a project for us, which included a 4x3m extension at the back of house, conversion of our garage into a utility and additional room, and knocked down an existing internal wall, taking out our existing kitchen and did the prep work for our kitchen fitting by an external provider.From point of engagement, David provided a friendly and consultative approach, providing ideas for the design. He provided a fully documented proposal with competitive pricing benchmarked against 3 other construction companies and amended it as the scope of the project changed.Once onsite then from day one, David and the team were very tidy, respectful of our family, the house and neighbours – in fact we had several comments from neighbours how impressed they had been.David has project managed our build in a way to cause minimum disruption for us. This included working with the building control inspectors, electricians, plumbers, plasterers etc. What we really feared when deciding to do the work, was having 2-3 months of drafts, dirt and mess. However the ‘inevitable’ disruption was much less than expected, as David ensured that as much of the external work was completed as possible before they came into the house to knock down walls, doorways and eventually the kitchen (to which he rigged up a temporary sink and kept the washing machine plumbed in so we could continue using them). Given that our project was late winter/early Spring 2018, we were really glad of the fact that at no point were we left exposed to the elements, our old French doors were not taken out until the new extension was fully enclosed.As part of the Project Management, a number of contractors have been used, but all have been vetted and managed by David, both when onsite and for any snagging at the end of the project, and it just felt like they were part of the team.We are very pleased with the final product – we have a lovely build, a huge amount of new space, and it all feels and looks very natural. The match on the bricks for the external work was excellent, to the point where at the front of our old garage you cannot make out the new and old.A couple of things we really likes were that firstly we were the only job they were working on for that period, and were committed to finishing the work with us before moving to the next job (bar snagging and a couple of jobs waiting on our kitchen and flooring to be fitted). Secondly, at the end of every day, David would provide an update on progress if we were at home. This would include the work done that day, any issues encountered and updates on plans for the next day and week(s) ahead. This gave us a good amount of time to prepare for what was coming, and things we needed to do to get ready for them.I would 100% recommend David and Daresbury Construction to do similar projects, and would be happy to speak to anyone wishing further re-assurances.See photos for before and after of the garage conversion work and then the extension at the back, again with before and after photos.
