A brilliant fun choir where we learn about singing technique along with singing musicals a fantastic supportive choir

Some of you will know that I joined a choir in September. We just finished our first term and it's been amazing!I used to really love singing as a young girl but, for various reasons, I stopped when I started university. I never believed that I had any talent so I'd avoid all public singing, even karaoke. Only lately I started regretting it and, after some research, I found a brand new Musical Theatre choir in Exeter run by The Sing Space and led by the wonderful Kelly Young.I had many doubts initially but Kelly was wonderfully reassuring and I decided to give it a go.It's a great experience, not only I have been singing my favourite tunes but also learned a lot of singing techniques, some theory, and even refreshed music reading. People are wonderful, and the choir is really inclusive and great fun. We always laugh a lot but work hard, too. And as a result we sounded rather amazing during our first performance.What's more, there was already an opportunity to sing with Gareth Malone and we will all be invited in a performance at Cadogan Hall in London next year!If anyone would like to join us from January, I cannot recommend it enough!

I am honestly so glad I joined this choir. Kelly is an incredible vocal coach and singer, and makes rehearsals so fun & interesting! Not only do we get to learn songs (and sound incredible), but Kelly integrates vocal technique into each session so it’s like getting an individual singing lesson too. I have made so many wonderful friends already, and it’s genuinely the highlight of my week!

I joined the choir when it was new in September and it’s been amazing so far! Kelly is an excellent choir leader - she makes sure we enjoy every session but also we get through loads each week! Well worth the money and I’m looking forward to next term
