Strawberry Blinds

Having been recommended to visit Strawberry Blinds we were not disappointed. Today the blind of our choice was fitted to absolute perfection. Long we have wanted to find a reliable and trustworthy service in our local area.

Fabulous hassle free service! Had large 70s build bungalow windows which needed updating. Ian promptly came to measure then after choosing what type and colour I wanted, the blinds were made then fitted soon after. Look perfect from the inside and outside. Lots of compliments! Thank you

Poor Quality Assurance;Poor Customer serviceWe went for Strawberry Blinds thinking we would support a local business.The job was to provide replacement fabric panels for some roman blinds on our bay window.We had sourced our own upholstery fabric.The owner came round and measured up and provided a quote.We dropped off the fabric with a lead time of 2-4 weeks.2 weeks later we called to confirm the drop of the blinds having refitted a windowsill.No change. Good.We then picked up and paid for the blinds.Attempt 1Drop 7cm short1 blind 3cm too narrow1 blind 1cm too narrowCalled and the workshop was blamed for being unable to convert from cm to inches!Attempt 2We measured and passed the measurements to the owner.Still plenty of our fabric left.Drop now correct.1 blind still 3cm too narrow1 blind still 1cm too narrow.Our spare fabric was not returned with the blinds.Called again and asked for the blind that was 3cm too narrow to be remade.We could live with the 1cm on the other one.Luckily there was still some of our fabric left in their workshop.Attempt 3Width correct. Hurrah!6m of our fabric wasted which we cannot source again at the same price.We had earmarked this for some curtains in another room.On researching the price to replace the fabric we had a discussion with the owner explaining that it would cost around £30 per metre to replace like for like.He shrugged his shoulders and refused to pay any more than he had originally offered as a goodwill gesture to compensate for the wasted fabric - £100.I can't be expected to pay for what you choose to buy" was his responseFollowed up with something along the lines of:I still need to make some money on this.Given that it had taken 3 attempts and destroyed over 6m of fabric provided by a customer this is an unbelievable attitude and a great example of poor customer service.Bitterly disappointing. In the past, Strawberry Blinds offered a good service at a fair price. However, the price, plus the (non negotiable) fitting charge, has increased a lot.

Excellent friendly service. Huge range of products with expert knowledge. Came to measure up the same day. Very pleased with my order.

This is the second time I have purchased from Strawberry blinds, mostly because I was so pleased with my first purchase & they have a range of bespoke blinds that I hadn’t found on the internet.We did most of the house first time and this second time it was the kitchen.So pleased with the outcome, all done in an hour, excellent quality and serviceWould 100% recommend to anyone, very well done.
