Great place to eat. Good, and varied, dishes available. A relaxed athmosphere. Dishes cooked to your own preference. An added attraction to the Old Town.

My first visit to the Yak last night with a couple of friends, and found the food and service to be absolutely amazing, it was just so tasty and good, I just wanted more.It's a family run local place and they certainly know how to look after their customers.100% will be returning to try many more dishes.

At last something tasty and different, full of subtle flavours and aromas and served in petit bowls on small tables seated on small seats. Effort was there, and food was good and well valued, but could do with better seating arrangement and a coat of paint.

Really nice evening, staff were all cheerful, it was difficult to choose from the menu due to the fact even the explanation didn't explain what the whole meal would be. We all chose different meals and we weren't disappointed. We were asked how hot we liked our meal so it was tasty with spices and not to hot, everest lamb this was my choice of medium heat. I recommend to book as this will get very popular as there is nothing like in Swindon. We definitely will be back to try other choices.

Oh my god it's awesome!Great staff, great food and an adorable restaurant! You can tailor the level of heat to suit your taste. Get the Chilli Momo, it's amazing!

A limited menu, food was cooked well and served at good temperature, but when specific instructions are given to the kitchen on dishes such as make a dish spicier it should be followed. Nepalese lamb curry was tasty & tender but showed absolutlry no chilli heat what so ever.Needs to also focus on ensuring an offering of Nepalese desserts, rather than the 80's offering of 3 frozen bought in icecream based desserts from the cash and carryConsidering the rest
