Wonderfully inviting pub, beautifully decorated -- it was so lovely to see a Sipsmith urn at the bar and a beautiful hanging Christmas wreath. The bar staff were all really lovely and I very much enjoyed my Lemon Drizzle G&T. We were a walk-in party of five, everyone very much enjoyed our meals -- fab menu. Will certainly visit again when next in the area!

Went here for Sunday lunch. Really dog friendly throughout, lovely staff, gave us water for the dog and generally fussed him each time they were at the table. Food was great. We were slightly late leaving the table and nobody rushed us. Really great place, thank you all for the great food, atmosphere, and being so accommodating to dogs!

Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, great seating and food was really tasty! Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed a few nights. Our room was well kept although needed a little bit of minor touching up in bedroom and bathroom but overall was clean and comfortable. TV signal in our room was bad, staff were quick to take a look for us but unable to fix at the time, we were kindly offered another room but we didn’t take it, just watched the channels that had good signal. Overall a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We would stay again

Stayed on the 8th and 9th December 2023. We were checked in by Michelle (Fish)!!! and received such a warm welcome. Also all the staff were friendly and helpful as well. Rooms very comfy and location was excellent. We were down for a wedding so only a short stay but would love to come back one day for longer.

We booked in for a meal on the RNLI quiz night. Michelle made sure we had a great table and a menu especially for our dog ! All the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful and the food was amazing.We will return.Thank you everyone, especially Michelle for a lovely evening.

Everything about our stay was perfect. But The Seagate just made it all better. The food was amazing, and so was the service.Especially the staff - Michelle and everyone there are just so accommodating. Especially with our little Pup Bruce. We can’t thank you all enough. We’ll be seeing you all again very soon. :)

What a lovely place to stay and eat. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, clean and cosy. We had dinner and breakfast, as vegan it can be hard to find a decent breakfast but we absolutely loved our breakfast. Highly recommended and the owners clearly enjoy themselves, their passion is clearly shown throughout the establishment. Will stay again.

Stayed there last weekend with three other friends/daughter. Absolutely georgious lovely clean rooms with goodies on tap!The reception/dining area very comfortable and inviting. Fabulously decorated with fires from early morning till late. Food excellent. Great staff very cheerfully, chatty and helpfull would loved to have stayed longerVery unique would definitely go again

We live in Appledore and feel very lucky to have this as our local pub. It is always warm and welcoming with lovely fires in the winter. A great selection of drinks and the food is lovely. The Sunday night pub quiz is a firm favourite for us. A shout out to Ella who served us lunch last week and to Jamie who provided the pints last night at the RNLI quiz. Thank you Seagate for being a fab place.
