GLS German Language School in Berlin

Teaching is of a uniformly very high quality here, with a fun approach and a positive atmosphere. It's a nice building in a great location, and I appreciate the flexibility of the school in allowing people to come and go at short notice, and always having classes for every ability level.

I took the class online and it was interesting and engaging. Enjoyed the time I was dedicating to learn German. Communication with staff and the professor was excellent.

Well located and very easy to reach and a had the best teacher. Jon Date you did a good job.. I recommend GLS and Mr. Jonathan Date the best native Speaker teacher ever..

I was at GLS for an online test preparation for telc C1 (Deutsch). The course start was pretty soon and there was no problem with studying late in the evening making it easy to manage with a full time job. They found just a perfect teacher for me - in just 10h she prepared me for the exam so well! She explained me the structure of the exam, we worked through all the possible types of questions and worked a lot on the speaking and writing strategies. This was exactly what I was looking for! As a result I didn't have any surprises at the exam. It went smoothly for me with minimum stress and I received a very good score for it thanks to very structured and focused work of my teacher! (My overall language level was already ok for c1, but without the preparation my score would have been much, much lower, maybe even not sufficient for passing the exam since I would have definitely failed the writing part.)

I’ve spent a month studying German in here and I really like it and recommend the experience for other students. The apartments inside the campus were fine too.

After a 6 months experience all I can say is that GLS Berlin has a charming and well located campus and offers German language courses for most levels with qualified teachers, (its methodology is mostly focused on speaking skills!) and an extraordinary cultural programm. The staff are always helpful and friendly.Despite being an expensive institution, there's no library nor computer room available for the students, and the food at their restaurant needs to be improved.

Wunderbar! GLS is a language school for everyone and you learn so quickly! Teachers are really attentive to your needs and the small classes make you feel comfortable to speak and work on your language skills. 5 stars all the way.

I have completed two week-long German courses here. The school is really well organised, and the teaching is on a par with Goethe. There was four years in between my courses and I noticed a dramatic improvement in that time. That’s not to say the first course was poor but the second one was really well constructed. Different teacher for different sessions throughout the day kept things interesting and made learning a fun and fresh experience. You can tell that the educators have been trained in the latest training methods, so they know how to adapt to needs and attention spans. Would recommend.
