Super nice and friendly! I went there to get some extra spare spokes before my long distance cycling, had some lovely chat, and they did some basic checks on my bike just to make sure and prepare for my trip, helped me tighten the brakes and rear racks for free. Really lit up my day! They feel reliable and know what they are doing very well.

I ordered a customized bike with delivery to Portugal and they did a great job. After several conversations about what kind of bike I would like to have, they sent me pictures with the result and then disassembled the bike so it could be packed and send to me. It arrived fast and in the perfect state. They even helped me with assembling it via Skype. The bike is prettier than in the pictures, works perfectly and I’m in love with it!

Charged me £80 to replace caliper brake pads and fix a puncture. £25 for a puncture repair when Evan's is £10. To be honest it's my fault for not asking them to lay out all the charges first but Lord, just make sure you know what they're charging before they fix anything.

Did a good job at servicing my bike. They know their stuff and were upfront on the potential cost of the necessary repairs. Despite the central London location the charge was quite reasonable

I took my bike couple of times to this shop as it’s close to the hospital I work.Last week was last time I took it there as my chain kept falling of the cassette for a week or so and wanted someone to look into this. They advice to do a full service and said this would be about 160 pounds. They said they will probably change the chain. I agree and came back to work.I returned at 17.00 as agreed and the guy said it was going to cost a bit more than 160, probably around 200. I’ve asked what they did and he said he changed the chain and the cassette. I have told him he should have called me before changing the cassette as it didn’t need changing and it’s pretty new/ hasn’t done enough miles. This would save me a few pounds too. He said he would change back the cassette and I could come back there in 15.Well, following day I had a flat tyre and today, after about a week, the problem with the chain happened again. On my way to work the chain fell, I was again late for work and felt like I have been robbed by this people.Charged 140 pounds for a cheap chain and had more problems than before.Do not go to this shop.

I took my bike in for a new chain and the mechanic quoted me >£100 for a full service then extra for any parts. This felt extremely expensive to me but I needed my bike working ASAP so I agreed. It ended up costing £150 (with only a new chain and new brake pads for parts). My back brake was rubbing immediately after the service so I took it back in to be fixed which he supposedly did, but it actually wasn’t fixed at all. It has been a month and my chain is already rusty and my gears are no longer working correctly. I felt that this was extremely poor value for money and would not recommend this place at all.

I don't normally write reviews but I feel I should on this occasion. I brought my bike to the shop because my gears had broken. When looking at the conditions of my bike the staff suggested a whole service, changing various parts, which would be very expensive and above my budget. I said I couldn't afford to do all the extras at that point in time but when I went to collect the bike, they had done a lot of extra work anyway and, of course, charged me accordingly. I got the very distinct impression that they pretended not to understand my precise instructions to simply fix the gears for this time.In addition, the work they had done was really sub-standard. The gears literally didn't work AT ALL. When I got home I realised that the cables had been threaded incorrectly and I ended up having to take them apart and re-doing the work myself. The break pads were not pinned in place and I lost two in the subsequent weeks.

Not only did they fix my bike right there and then, they also welcomed my bike in with a smile despite the fact I dragged all the wet weather in with it. I know I'll be coming back here with any future bike troubles! Thanks, Bikefix!

I noticed one of my wheels was punctured on my way to work and this was the closest place. The problem has been fixed . I was advised to change the whole tire and when I realised it was much more expensive than my usual place, I declined. When I came back at 4:30 (brought it on around 10:30, wasn't notified that the bike was ready despite having my phone number), I was presented with the card reader without being told the amount, which was already a bit rude. Moreover, I could have done without the patronising comment on my way out: The bike still needs service

I absolutely rely on my beloved 2007 Brompton for commuting. When I cycled through (!) the pedal shaft-cogwheel connection earlier this year, I tried Brompton Junction, but the next possible appointment was many weeks away. I got recommended BikeFix. Within days, they could do this repair _and_ all the niggly things that had accumulated (brakes, broken cable shafts, etc). Including finally brazing the ~four-year old crack in the frame below the seat post, work that Brompton Junction themselves couldn't do at all.Yes the repairs overall did end up expensive, but most of the cost was due to the large number of spare parts. The service was good and you can tell they're all dyed-in-the-wool mechanics. When I found tiny imperfections once I was re-using the bike (like one concertina-like plastic bit next to the old-style Brompton brakes missing) I went back and appreciated them doing the snagging works on the fly.I now have a Brompton that's nearly as good as new - and flies along beautifully for a fraction of the money for a new one. Very sustainable, too.
