Kent Police - Canterbury

They are a lot more professional than some of Margate police officers and they actually take it seriously if people start on me and my boyfriend and we report it.

Will never forget when I was a teenager I went to file an abuse claim against my dad who stalked and beat me, after years of social services. The male police officer spoke to him on the phone, told me he seems nice" and that I should "just go home" to live with my dad again. I will never forget how let down I felt. Never went to the police again when I needed help

Busy guys fining people for walking and pressuring shops for free doughnuts. There are worse people out there

absolutely shocked at the attitude of the switchboard operator my Dad spoke to. Tried to report that a house party had gone out of control and there were chunks of glass all below the balcony on the busy road below, we had gone around to try and calm them down but were met with aggression and felt afraid for our personal safety. The switchboard operator barely let my Dad speak, she talked over him constantly and even shouted at him 'no ones coming around' when he asked what he could do next. I can't believe people get paid to behave this way, it's scary to think you can have violent behaviour going on and unless you physically stand in the road and witness it happening whilst on the phone to them, the police won't do anything to help...

Absolutely amazing..Thank You..they travelled all the way to Dover for a statement...to save me going there..fitted my place with alarms and gave me panic alarms..I just can't praise them enough

Just popped in to the front desk to report a broken down vehicle that was blocking the entrance to a main car park, the officer on the front desk interrupted me, and spoke to me like I was a child to tell me that I'd walked past a sign! I looked down and one foot had gone past the Coronavirus boundary line!!! I wasn't even facing the officer as I was pointing out of the door towards the vehicle!!For a front desk officer you need to be able to talk to the public! I just left in disgust at the way I was spoken to, especially as I was trying to do the right thing!!

Basically laughed in my face when telling them about my abuse. No wonder people don’t speak up.

I am truely shocked at the attitude of the ladies manning the front reception at Canterbury police station. I guess it is influenced by the nature of their interactions perhaps but the rudeness and attitude to some quite straightforward questions was quite unsettling : ( very very unhelpful indeed. Not in anyway remotely empathetic nor friendly. Two traits which would probably help many the community interacting with them or in need of their help : (

Have spent some time at Canterbury Police station this morning I really can't say how helpful the police officer was a proper old time copper dealing with a very delicate situation in a professional way it made me feel very comfortable in every way possible
