We came out for an impromptu roast dinner as we all fancied one. 2 Adults and 1 Child and it all started so well. The manager was lovely and we got taken to our seats within 2 minutes of arriving. We seemed to queue for the carvery for a very long time, and when it got to my turn I decided to go King Size purely for the extra room and sausages, well, there weren't any so I didn't get any but they still pursued with the £1.99 extra. Then we move onto the meats, these were actually good for a change. Normally they can be quite chewy at his Toby but the meat actually melted in your mouth.Now.. the veg... Well first of all there was no mash, the stuffing was dry and crumbly, both sets of roast potatoes were borderline raw and some were actually still raw. The veg was incredibly hard to the point a lot of people were leaving it from what we could see. There was a dangerous part to it though, the spoons were left so close to the heat lamp that a lot of people from what I saw were burning themselves, I do think the Toby needs to rethink this concept and move the spoons to the front well labelled or use spoons that don't conduct so much heat.Next the gravy and sauces, well, there weren't any. The gravy bowls were all empty with perhaps a couple of tablespoons worth in each furthermore the sauces were empty with the exception of horseradish. We all sat down and started eating, most of which was lovely except that mentioned above, the smaller roast potatoes were borderline cooked and the bigger ones raw so I think some training needs to be given to the chefs, they weren't even crispy. We decided to order dessert to try to make the most of the evening, Logan has some ice cream with a flake with had melted somewhat because it had been sat so long, I had the seasonal strawberry jam sponge with tepid custard, it was barely even warm and Emma had the seasonal crumble also with tepid custard and semi hard fruit. The drinks were ok!I just want to point out though that the waitress was really lovely and despite everything that was going on she was so polite and chatty. There wasn't really a lot she could do, it's not like a normal restaurant where you can get a replacement food item.

Brilliant breakfast. I was anxious as it was 10.40am but Ty ensured everything was available for us. His warm and friendly manner put me at ease and nothing was too much trouble. Ty really made the experience enjoyable, thank you Ty! Great value for money too.

Staff were very pleasant and efficient. However, my 'real ale' very cold and lacking any freshness. The food was warm. To finish 2 medium glasses of house red wine over £12. I won't be returning soon.

Went here a few years ago.On arrival was met by a nice lady and told that if we wanted roast beef dinner we would have to wait for half an hour as the beef had been used up and we're roasting an other joint. We weren't in any hurry so went to the bar for a drink she would come and get us when the beef was ready.About forty minutes later she came back to get us and showed us to our table.I went up first their was a woman in front of me she chose the beef, it was a very large joint.Second slice in blood started running out of the joint.I thought to my self the middle of that joint will be cold and not cooked at all.I ended up having the pork and turkey.Rest of the meal was OK, but haven't used a Toby carvery since,Seeing that raw beef joint has put me off Toby carverys for life.P S before that the one in Ipswich SuffolkThere was a foreign person behind the bar serving. She couldn't speak hardly any English, and I couldn't make her understand what I wanted when ordering drinks. So Toby you won't be having my custom again I'm afraid.

Went for Sunday roast at 3pm. We arrived early but were seated perfectly on time. Jade our waitress was so kind, helpful and lovely. She catered to our every need and made our experience very welcoming. The food was piping hot and delicious. 5 stars from us

Food was average at best. Not all of it was hot. The gravy was like water. Toilets were unclean, no toilet roll and sanitary bin was overflowing with used sanitary products. The waiting staff were all very young, and the customer service was barely ok. Dessert took 30 minutes to arrive. One of our party has celiac disease, and we couldn't navigate the buffet as easily as we should haveWe finally found something that gave us the ingredients, but the type was so small, it was illegible. We were told that the staff couldn't read it to us. This was extremely unhelpful! We were given the bill while we were still eating.

Booked breakfast with Santa for my son, the whole experience was absolutely awful! After paying for our breakfasts and the Santa experience we were told to wait at our table and an elf would come over when Santa was ready for us, 45 minutes later we were still waiting,. People had come in after us and had been taken to see Santa but we were still waiting! After 50 minutes we asked a member of staff who then informed us we ourselves were meant to tell the elf or the bar staff that we was ready to see Santa, my son then got extremely disappointed in his gift from Santa as online it states “make your own ginger bread house” this implies that it’s a ginger bread house not a piece of flimsy cardboard you fold to look like one, it was not worth the money paid for the Santa experience,. Although the breakfast was nice there was also no breakfast yorkshire puddings when asked about why there wasn’t any we were told they couldn’t offer them because they were to busy! But yet they’re always busy for the carvery and always have normal Yorkshires! Absolutely disappointing in the whole morning, will definitely not be booking again next year

Nothing was great. Everything Needs major improvements. Mostly empty serving trays. Cold, congealed food on the trays that were out.Little to no selection of any breakfast items including drinks. The coffee was poor at best. Unlabeled for caffeinated/ decaffeinated. Only one milk option. No where was juice or water offered.I think you should visit other establishments where all you can eat breakfasts are available and learn a thing or two!

Iv never had a late dinner reservation before but was needed this time. My only concern was that everyone appeared to be clearing up and we had to wait at the desk to be seated for a good 5-6 mins. The table offered wasn’t ideal considering my requests when booking. When we went up to seeing area again there was no one there to serve us and we again had to wait awhile for someone to come and serve us and we weren’t the only ones waiting either. So for me improvements would be to read any booking requests and act on them when possible. Don’t leave booking in area unattended for ages and again if you know you have guests don’t leave servery area unattended for any length of time

Came in Tuesday evening and was looked after by Bobby (with the good hair!) Can't fault the restaurant, food was hot and there was plenty of it and being topped up regularly, and kept clean and tidy! (Gutted there was no dumplings in this occasion though!) We came in much earlier than our booking time but it wasn't an issue. Bobby was very welcoming and friendly and is an asset to this branch. :)
