I nearly came to Harrogate purely to try Thug and I'm rather glad I didn't now. After all the attention and reviews it got I'm sure I may have had an off day.I had the KFCeaser sandwich which was filling and overall ok. The bread was nice and fresh, the chicken was cooked well, but the coating was so ridiculously salty it just ruined it entirely.The scotch egg, again very hyped, didn't live up to expectations. It didn't taste fresh even though it looked it, and was just nothing special leaving me feel a bit disappointed.The coffee is good though.Price would be okay if food was better in my experience.One part that lets it down is the ordering system, it gets busy so you go in, order your food then you're given an order number on your receipt to listen out for outside the shop...But someone else just shouts what piece of food is ready and it leaves everyone confused as it's a limited menu so generally people are waiting for the same thing. Surely stick to your order numbers to avoid any confusion?!In conclusion I would like to see if I can have a better experience in the future but I aren't rushing to come back.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had and I don’t say it lightly… But boy was it messy eating it!my Ploughmans was packed in an unlined paper bag and I think the sauce soaked through the bag.. so it started dripping as I ate on the train. My boyfriend got his Reubens in a foiled bag tho- I wish mine was packed that way. Maybe it’s something for the shop owners to consider?Would 100% order again next time I’m in Harrogate.

So so amazing 100% worth stopping by. The sandwiches are huge and well worth the price aswell as the salad boxes which are well portioned and have tons of delicious bites in them. Snacks are fantastic and to say the least I'm crying because my new favourite meal came to an end(Had the soy honey beef on both salad & sandwich)

Undoubtedly one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I have been going to Thug for about a year, and tried a few sandwiches but highly recommend the Chicken Satay. For lunch it can be slightly pricey but well worth the money every now and then.You always get a great portion and the team are super friendly, highly recommend if you want something special for lunch.

My first visit yesterday and when handed my egg salad sandwich, I wasn’t sure whether I’d been given a butty or a rugby ball. Heaved the thing back to the office and it was absolutely delicious.Staff really friendly, nice atmosphere. This will now be my regular haunt when working in Harrogate!

Normally come here for the KFChicken sandwich but recently got the Veggie Salad with grilled chicken on top. Absolutely fantastic and generous amount of cilantro (coriander) which gives it a diverse flavor profile. Highly recommend.

You find little Gems when your travelling for trade shows, Harrogate has a choice of places to pick up a working lunch in the go. But this has to top the list as the best place to grab a fresh sandwich. Used by locals and out of town visitors like myself... so you know its good. All freshly made to order.

Lovely place to grab a sandwich that is above the usual standard. The lads there all look happy and enthusiastic. The red leciester cheese and jalpeno sausage roll slices where delicious and the chicken club never disappointed jam packed with flavours. Will definitely go again.
