Deeside Gliding Club

I spent a few days there as a visiting pilot. Awesome people and spectacular views. Whether you want to take up gliding or you're just looking for an exceptional experience, this is the place to go.

Super spot,modern high tech aircraft,experienced/willing staff, very nice clubhouse,accommodationfor anyone,live in,or bring your own ,fantastic flying experience for anybody willing to show up.

Great place to visit for gliding. Came from the south east with my gliding club and a completely different type of flying! A must for any flying enthusiast.

Midweek flying with a full time instructor starts in the second half of April. Flights of over 500km and up to 14000 above sea level feet have been flown already, Picture is myself on the right with a young lady called Merlin, a fellow glider pilot who dropped by for a day during a skiing holiday and we got to 10,000 feet (gliding, ie no engine after take off) 2nd January 2022. You can see the propellor stopped and feathered"(its a "motor Glider" in the first picture Did the same an hour later with another club member. I had two flights to 8000 feet on Saturday 7 Janiary 2023

One of the most impressive and unique gliding sites in the uk. Spectacular views and Open airspace with a range of club aircraft. Trial lessons available 7 days per week in summer and at weekends all year weather permitting.

Very friendly and welcoming, brilliant trial flight experiences to give you a taste of flight (which you may just get hooked on...) or just to see the beautiful scenery of Deeside from the air!
