This is my second time coming to Mrs Potts and somehow it felt less than it did the first time. Everything was still the same but the chocolate dream cake felt so much denser this time. It’s still a deliciously rich cake but it feels like a whole slice feels like too heavy. The chocolate mousse cake was quite nice too! Perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste.

Visited today (Monday) as I'd seen an article about their October hot chocolate offerings. I'd never heard of them before then.I wanted to order the vegan cherry hot chocolate but was told that one was sold out, so I asked for the vegan pumpkin spice instead. I informed the cashier that my son had a dairy allergy and asked if it was possible to pay extra to add dairy free whipped cream and sprinkles to a standard vegan hot chocolate (because I knew he wouldn't like pumpkin (which was also supposed to have whipped cream!)) The cashier informed me that they had a sign up saying that they had run out of dairy free whipped cream. The sign unfortunately was on the wall opposite the till so I didn't see it as I had my back to it. My son still wanted a hot chocolate so we decided to stay and I ordered him a vegan brownie too.Unfortunately my son had an allergic reaction. To be fair, the menu does state that they can't be 100% sure that anything is allergen free, so we knew a reaction was possible and we took the risk. I mention it more for other people who may have a dairy allergy and want to visit. I'm not sure if it was the brownie or the hot chocolate that caused the reaction.Staff were friendly and helpful.Tables were a little dirty but the cafe itself was nice.Gave it a 3 as I probably wouldn't visit again. We paid £13.50 for the 2 hot chocolates and the brownie but I don't think we'd have visited at all if we knew about all the out of stock items.

Got a few slices for my mum visiting. Tried the mousse cake, one of the best chocolate cakes i have ever had! Very friendly service too. Not the cheapest but definitely worth it. Can’t wait to try the Matilda cake next hopefully.

Great café.The hot chocolate was so creamy and tasty. Not like your standard watered down hot chocolate you get in some places. The cookie sandwich was so good, although I would advise to share it as one can be a bit too sickly for 1 person only. The atmosphere was nice and inviting and staff was really friendly.

Very busy cafe, there was a long queue when we arrived. We ordered iced latte and a salted caramel pretzel cupcake. Cupcake was a little dense and the salted caramel taste was quite mild. Looking at other comments i think we shouldve ordered a slice of cake with chocolate toppings instead. A slice of cake + coffee was 8£.

1. Lighting pretty dark and low Noticed people kept knocking their heads on the low lighting. The only natural light is only at the front. Quite clinical at the rear end, no designs or plants, staff were rushed off their feet. Tables were dirty.2. Beautiful looking and tasty cakes yet served with cutlery stolen from infant / primary school. I didn't enjoy my deserts. I think the owners / Managers have forgotten the grand thought of aestheticness?3. Staff are very pleasant and very friendly, and apologetic for poor utensils

I gave 4 starts based on cleanliness, service, taste of food and price.Cake was flavorful but significantly overpriced. The place was clean. Staff could definitely be a little bit friendlier and welcoming to their guest. My visit was ok.

This place is chocolate heaven! During my short visit to Bristol I popped into Mrs.Potts for a quick coffee with cake. I ordered the Matilda cake and the chocolate mousse cake. All cakes come with chocolate poured on top. You can choose which flavours you want. I also got some coffee to go with the cakes. Both cakes tasted soft and fresh. The coffees complimented the taste of the cakes. The place has a vibe on it’s own. Perfect for a coffee date.

Everything is very beautiful here, and it’s a nice setting to catch up with friends or come on a date, but I really didn’t think very much to the quality of the product and didn’t find the staff very warm.We had the s’mores hot chocolate which came with toasted marshmallow fluff (which is a vegetarian alternative to marshmallows) and it looked great but about half the mug was marshmallow- I wouldn’t recommend unless you have a very sweet tooth. The hot chocolate at the bottom wasn’t really of the quality I’d expect of a chocolate house.Price is reasonable for the area. The cakes also looked really great.Staff were a little frosty. There is a small shop section where you can buy their hot chocolate, gift bags of solid chocolates and other nice items.Well decorated shop but could do with some ambient music to add something to the environment.
