Elmfield Dry Cleaners

I’ve been using this dry cleaners for years. They are very friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. Always recommend them.

I cannot attest to the dry cleaning, but DO NOT go here for any alterations, especially on expensive or delicate items. I took my brand new Sosander dress for some alterations that I wanted to wear to a wedding. They could not give me a price until they had seen the work that needed to be done. I had to get dressed behind a small curtain at the back and the seamstress came in to look at the work. I’m not that informed about fabric and sewing, so when she began to safety pin my dress I didn’t think much of it. On the way out I finally was informed of the price for hem, strap and side alterations which would be £75, almost as much as the dress cost itself. I am very happy to pay for services but there was no given rough estimate before going through this rigmarole and this did seem a lot. I didn’t go ahead as I wasn’t sure of the price or what the quality of work would be like and generally felt uneasy about the whole thing. On returning home, I inspected the dress and where the safety pins had been placed had put holes and small rips in the dress. If they actually knew what they were doing, they would have known not to do this to this type of material. Again, please do NOT use. I would have called them to ask them to replace the dress but I very much doubt they would admit to the damage done…. I will never go there or recommend.

Very disappointed . My daughters pleated skirts has been ruined. They charge for service but they don’t deliver. According to them pleats are gone because are gone and it’s nothing to do with them. I used Elmfield Dry Cleaners before and I believe that with basic stuff they may be ok but avoid with you delicate skirts, dresses etc.

What can one expect from a dry cleaning service? To get back your clothes or other items, clean and intact. So, not only they do that to perfection but with a warm and friendly attitude, a smile, affordable prices and always on time. Congrats TEAM !!!

Elmfield Dry Cleaners offer a great service all round. I used them for alterations and each piece was a challenge to get perfect. The tailor did an amazing job on all my outfits,. I will definitely be returning. The customer service was superb and all my clothes were returned in immaculate state.

I have been going to this dry cleaners now for 12 months and never had any issues with damage, collection times and presentation of cleaned garms.Overall very happy and no need to go elasewhere.

I've been using Elmfield Dry Cleaners for years now. I seem to do a big drop off every couple of month and I'm always so happy with the results. They've never let me down in terms of the timing and I can trust them with my delicate clothes. On several occasions they've managed to remove difficult stains on clothes that I thought I had ruined.They're a friendly team and I always stop off for a chat whilst tucking into their sweets jar :) Great service!
