Dobbies Garden Centre Inverness

I was in a queue waiting to get served as there was no one at the counter. I wanted to have individual items as my choice. I was told to take a mini breakfast with items I did not prefer. By the time I got to my seat after getting my beverage and paying my 'meal' was barely warm !

Not a pleasant experience. Took an age to get food and the food we did receive was barely edible. We ordered panini's with salad - the panini looked like it had been made on the floor and the salad was rotting lettuce leaves (brown and slimy). The restaurant was quiet yet most of the tables had plates of food on them. I got my daughter a highchair and had to clean it myself as it was covered in old solidified food -it clearly hadn't been cleaned! Such a shame as your Perth cafe is absolutely brilliant!!!!

1st visit to dobbies cafe in a while and WOW has it gone downhill!! Ordered a couple of kids packs. The cheese sandwich my young daughter would have done a better job making it, most of the other items you can choose from not there. For the price a Disgrace. We managed to find one table in the whole place that was at best semi clean. The other tables were either full of used plates/cutlery or looked like they hadn't been wiped down in days. Barely any staff in the place, poor guy was covering the hot food/coffee machine and checkout, small wonder my daughters freshly made sandwich was so shoddily put together. Certainly won't be returning until I start hearing the place is getting it's act together

Such a disappointment today, went for some brunch and half of the food they had advertised was not available this was very disappointing. The food we did manage to get was cold, dry and tasteless.We have some friends (flys) in the coleslaw which came along with our meal.Due to being vegetarians we find it hard to find things we enjoy, my partner has asked for macaroni and a portion of chips. We were told this was not doable. I’m still struggling to see why it wasn’t doable just put macaroni on a plate and some chips.The dishes were dirty and the staff couldn’t seem to get their eyes away!!!

Would avoid the cafe unless you are willing to stand about for ages. We went in for lunch and stood for around 15 minutes and still nobody took our order. Staff seemed more interested in chatting than serving customers.

What's happened in Dobbie's restaurant? Went in at 12.30 on a Saturday you expect it to be busy but there was hardly any staff? One poor guy on the first counter which is sandwiches and toasties, the queue was well back into the shop you could tell he was feeing the pressure and I saw at least half a dozen people leave. Same with hot food 1 guy on the counter and hot drinks 1 guy and a poor girl who was obviously on her first day. By the time we got coffee and paid and then sat down the toasties and the coffee were cold. I thought perhaps it was a one off but see a lot saying the same very disappointed Dobbies

I’m in cafe now. Staffing levels very poor. Ridiculous wait times for a coffee. Coffees cold. Room cold as apparently cold air stuck on. Scone was so thick it just crumbled into pieces when opened. I’ve been coming here for years but won’t be back

Staff not interested. Too many tables with trays and food remains on them. Tables not clean. Paper cups at self service point. Teabags left loose. Scones left uncovered. Crisps and other food crumbs lying on the carpet. Toilets not clean. Won't be back. Usually I would make my feelings known to staff. All I got was a shrug of the shoulders.
