If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Cairngorms, look no further. Coig Na Shee is one of the best accommodations we have stayed at! Clean and big bedrooms, lovely and accommodating hosts and a beautiful location. Not to mention the breakfasts are superb. We preferred to stay not in the touristy/quite busy Aviemore, Newtonmore is far better as a base with everything within easy reach in a car. Marion and Graeme are lovely hosts with excellent recommendations. We will definitely be back again!

Our stay at Coig na Shee Guest House was incredible. We directly felt at home in our beautiful and comfortable room and enjoyed the most amazing home made breakfast each morning. The area is wonderful and Coig na Shee's owners are amazingly kind and willing to offer any tips on local outings. We will most definitely be back!

Top choice in Newtonmore. One of the best in Scotland! In every of our (itinerant) trips we found some very special places, where everything was like we expected to be… and even more!Coig na Shee is one of them, and the proof that you can receive the warm welcome of a cozy B&B even in a bigger Guest House. This magnificent 1903 highland lodge is surrounded by a big garden with wonderful trees, and red squirrels!Everything here is very well maintained, and the House is truly tastefully decorated, with love and great attention to details. Our room (The Firs) was one of the biggest and more beautiful rooms we’ve ever been. Bright, clean, with perfect beds, and an amazing shower/bath room. The breakfast room too was very pleasant, and literally flooded with natural light! And about the breakfast: yogurt, fresh fruit, bacon and eggs, banana pancakes… everything excellent. But what makes the plus here…? Marion, our adorable Host. Warm, kind, professional and helpful. She told us very interesting information about the area, included Newtonmore Action to maintain and manage the areas of woodland and the Scottish Wildcat (you will see the painted model of one of them in their garden, and others secreted round the village and along the Wildcat Trail). We found a Human Being here, not only a Host… and we’re grateful for that.Thank you Marion :-D

What a GemFantastic throughout, great hosts, comfortable and clean and an excellent range of choice at breakfast. We stayed in the Larches room overlooking the front lawn which is bright and airy with a very large bay window to admire the view over a cuppa or a wee dram. Loads of hot water for a relaxing bath or invigorating shower. We will definitely be back next time we are in the central highlands.

I stayed here before the pandemic, on a two week trip. This was the first leg of the adventure before we ended at fringe fest.I have to say almost 4 years later I am still deeply grateful for the time and wonderful hospitality we received here. The hosts are a wonderful family, who went out of their way to make our very tired and frazzled (due to flight delayed) group comfortable.I cannot recommend a stay here enough!

Beautiful cozy B&B. We were only able to stay one night but it was very comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious, fresh and healthy. My partner said that was the most delicious scrambled eggs he has ever had! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!!

Lovely guest house in a late Victorian villa on elevated spot on edge of Newtonmore. Well hosted by the owners who run a clean and organised space. We were in what seemed like a recently refreshed twin room, comfy beds and good shower. Spacious breakfast room with rotating daily specials as well as the main menu - all to be booked the night before - we had blueberry pancakes & bacon one day and poached eggs & avocado the day after. Very tasty. Basket of OS maps to peruse and borrow for the day. Would definitely go back.

Very comfortable guest house with lovely hosts. The double I stayed in was comfortable and had everything you’d expect. No desk but space to make coffees etc. Great bed and pillows. Good breakfasts with some less usual offerings (smashed avo on sourdough / kippers), plus the usual suspects (cereal, fruit etc). It’s perched on the edge of Newtonmore in beautiful grounds. Newtonmore is a lovely place to explore the area from and has some stunning walks around it. It’s a few miles from Kingussie, another charming village. There are a few food options in the village and you’re able to eat them i the dining room of the guest house which is very helpful. Excellent internet too - I had to have a video call whilst there and there were no issues at all.
