Delhi House Cafe
A great little find in the Corn Exchange. We saw that the Delhi House Cafe barely had anyone in so we was abit apprehensive at first as everywhere else was full and had longer waiting times but we needed to eat ASAP as we were watching a concert at the AO arena. Fear not as the curry was delicious. We got x1 rice dish to share.Great value for money too! The staff were very attentive and served us as quickly as they could as they knew we was in a rush.I'm so glad we stumbled across this restaurant, I'd definitely be back again and would recommend it to, especially to curry lovers.

Excellent dinner here, service was excellent and staff all lovely. Sat in the atrium area of the Corn Exchange which has a nice vibe and very pleasant surroundings. The Palak Patta Chaat is a great starter; battered spinach leaves with a delicious mint yoghurt sauce. I had the lamb nihari, a big and beautifully cooked lamb shank in a rich, highly fragrant sauce, with thick, fluffy bread called a moti roti. Champaran meat also excellent, didn’t have dessert this time. Very good indeed.

I was blown away by this dinner - we stumbled on it by chance but the food, atmosphere & service was exceptional. We had the palak patta chaat, lamb kebab, samosas & aaloo tikka chaat to start which were all delicious & rich in flavour - the main of butter chicken tikka masala was also phenomenal. I even preferred it to Dishoom! I would highly recommend

was so disappointed with my recent dining experience at Cafe Delhi House. The service was terrible and the wait times were excessive. When we first arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a hostess who seemed completely uninterested in helping us. She took our reservation and then left us standing there for over 10 minutes before finally seating us.After we sat down, it took another 15 minutes before a waiter finally came over to take our order. He was very dismissive and seemed to be in a hurry to get away from us.When our food finally arrived, it was cold and overcooked. We sent it back to the kitchen, but it took another 45 minutes to get our food replaced.By the time we finished our meal, we had been at the restaurant for over two hours. We were so hungry that we didn't even bother to complain to the manager.I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was terrible and the food was not worth the wait. Here are some specific examples of the bad service I received:The hostess was rude and dismissive. The waiter was inattentive and seemed rushed. It took forever to get our order taken and our food delivered. When we sent our food back, it took forever to get our replacement. Here are some specific examples of the long wait times I experienced:We waited over 10 minutes to be seated. We waited over 15 minutes for a waiter to take our order. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to be replaced.I am very disappointed with my experience at Cafe delhi House . I will not be returning to this establishment.

It is no doubt this place is worth a visit. If you're craving Indian food, this is the place to be in Manchester Piccadilly. We ordered the moradabadi chicken biryani and changezi chicken and prawn shaadiwala. The biryani itself is already tasteful. We were recommended to get the curry sauce to partner it with, which makes the dish even more tasteful. The food that we had is so excellent. I was speechless when I had my first spoonful bite. It is indeed delicious.

Nestled in the heart of Exchange Square, Delhi House Cafe boasts an inviting ambiance that mirrors the warmth of Indian hospitality. As a seasoned food enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of savoring their delightful offerings, including the Moradabadi Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken Naan Pizza, and Lamb Seekh Kebab.First on the table was the much-anticipated Butter Chicken Naan Pizza, and it did not disappoint! The amalgamation of classic Italian and Indian flavors was a triumph. The soft and flavorful naan bread served as the perfect canvas for the rich, creamy butter chicken topping. The balance of spices and succulent chunks of chicken were a treat for the taste buds, leaving me craving for more. This innovative creation was indeed a highlight of the meal.Next up was the Lamb Seekh Kebab, which lived up to its reputation as a classic favorite. The kebabs were beautifully spiced, exuding aromatic flavors with every bite. The tender and juicy lamb, expertly grilled, was an absolute delight. Though somewhat familiar, the dish showcased the chef's skill in refining traditional recipes, resulting in a satisfying and enjoyable experience.Moving on to the Moradabadi Chicken Biryani, it proved to be a solid choice. The fragrant rice was cooked to perfection and carried the essence of carefully chosen spices. Tender pieces of chicken were intermingled throughout, elevating the overall taste. While the biryani was enjoyable, it didn't quite achieve the same level of excitement as the previous dishes. Nonetheless, it remained a satisfying and comforting option. In terms of service, the staff at Delhi House Cafe were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The ambience was relaxed, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a flavorful meal.In conclusion, my visit to Delhi House Cafe at Exchange Square was a pleasurable experience. The Butter Chicken Naan Pizza stood out as a creative fusion of flavors, while the Lamb Seekh Kebab and Moradabadi Chicken Biryani both satisfied the palate. With its inviting atmosphere and delectable dishes, Delhi House Cafe proves to be a promising destination for anyone seeking a taste of Indian cuisine in the heart of Manchester.

The friendly and helpful staff certainly contribute to a positive experience. The fact that the restaurant has a typical Indian decor likely adds to the ambiance and authenticity of the dining experience. Great ambience and lovely service. Food was well presented but a tad on the bland side. Ordered a butter chicken. The chicken itself was succulent and well cooked. Naan was fresh and fluffy!

I stumbled across this place in the corn exchange whilst looking for a place to eat, I've never noticed it before, so I thought, why not.I have to say I'm glad we did.The food is absolutely amazing and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We said it's our first visit and they were very helpful explaining the dishes and what was most likely the right thing for us to order as this place is more street food style than your traditional main meal curries. The flavours in the food we ordered were just amazing. I wasn't expecting it to be so nice, but I honestly can say it was very tasty, and we will be going again sooner than later.
